I've got a question for those of you going in early to mid December, are you putting up your live Christmas tree before or waiting until after. We always go and buy a tree the day after Thanksgiving and decorate it that Sunday. My DH wants to wait until we get back from Disney this year to put up a tree. :( I want to put it as usually and have someone stop by and water it a few times. What are your plans?

I normally put up the tree the day after Thanksgiving but seeing as we'll be in WDW Dec 1-10, we're going to skip the tree this year. I could put it up before we go but we have 3 cats and I have a feeling they would have a party with the tree while we're gone. When we get back, I will put up the Christmas knick-knacks around the house and we have a small Charlie Brown tree that I'll put up (unbox) and that will be our tree for this year.:thumbsup2

We do have those and now I want that lol Carbs are awesome, they are my friend, I don't care what the diet plans say :p

I could live on nothing but carbs. :)

I've got lasagna bolognese (made from scratch, even the noodles) today. Best part - I didn't make it. ;)

70 days left!!! Time just seems to be dragging for me lately... It feels like all I do lately is clean the house, cook and drive back and forth to school/sports activities. :( So. Sick. Of. It! I wish I had some planning left to do, but I think I'm about done. All I have to do is purchase the MVMCP tickets, and print out my packing list from last time.

I'm loving my ticker though! Tinkerbell is flying pretty fast this time since we booked at 3 months out versus the 9 months I had to wait on our last trip!

Be careful what you wish for. ;) between the park changes and my in-laws being up in the air, I'm completely re-working my plans. Planning is fun but I could do without the changes.

On an up note - FIL will be home from rehab on Saturday.

Yum!!!! That is what I am getting at Tutto. But you get yours in a few hours, I have to wait 86 days, no make that 87. I think Tutto is on our second day.

Ha! I just talked to my partner. She'd mentioned wanting to do the mermaid thing at the Pirate's League and it sounds like she still does. I guess that's another reservation I'll be making.

Wow! She is really going all out for this trip. Will you do them different days or will she be a pixie dusted mermaid Pirate?? :)

I keep making changes and new plans and have no real reason to!! :confused3

Good news!!

I like the bios guys. Especially the answers about the snacks.

Destructsean, it seems we'll have to come up with a new wager. Looks like the Bruins won't open up against the Flyers, after all.

Well, we better brainstorm. 2.5 months!!

How ridiculously bummed are you about no hockey this year? UGH!

I'm glad I'm not the only one who was wondering about this! :) We also have 2 new kittens who will be about 9 months old come Christmas tree time...so I was thinking about getting a nice table top fake one to put in a corner. I'm sure they will wreck havoc over anything we put up. Since our trip is a surprise, I can explain to DD that the tiny, fake tree this year is because of the kittens!pixiedust:

Haha! Word! I have an extra 'Ohana reservation just in case they end up adding EMH or opening early on the 14th. I have a few others that are "just in case", too, but hopefully nothing too drastic will happen. :rotfl:

We have a fake tree. It's just too warm here in S. Florida. I find trees dry up fast and I hate dealing with needles. I usually put it up after T-Day. I think I might not put out my village this year. We shall see. But then again, getting all decorated for the holidays will help make the time go by and get me more festive, so who knows!! hehe

Oh and you have given me an idea once we are done with the current post #3. Oh yes, a very good idea!

We plan to put ours up Thanksgiving Day, its an artificial so it doesn't matter. It will be on a timer along with our outside lights except we are doing battery powered lights in the windows so they will all be left on... We will just get our neighbors to keep an eye out... It is our first Christmas in this house and neighborhood and we don't want to seem like a grinch.

we will put up the tree thanksgiving weekend (we always do) and since the trip is a surprise I have to keep with the normal christmas traditions.

Funny story – a couple years ago I didn’t put up a tree at all. No vacation planned or anything; I just didn’t want to do it. Our tree is always about 13-16 feet and it turns into a major ordeal to get it delivered, get the lights on it and get it decorated. Then set up the trains underneath. So one year I just had a lot on my plate so instead of spending several weekends getting the tree up, I negotiated with DS. Instead we:

1. Went to the Aquarium and saw Polar Express.
2. Saw the drive-through light display at our local concert venue.
3. Saw the walk-through light display at our local gardens.
4. Went to Zoo Lights at the National Zoo.

Honestly, I think we enjoyed the holiday season more than any other year with a lot less stress for me. But boy, my SIL acted like we committed a major sin. I mean, what kind of Mom refuses to put up a Christmas tree. ;-)

Haha! Yup!

I also found another thing for us to do during our trip. Apparently, you can get pixie dusted for free at Castle Couture in MK. That's been added to our list. I'm not sure if I'll do it, but I know my partner wants to.

Oooo! This could be fun!

Woohoo! That's so exciting! On our first trip in late September 2011 the crane was of course there the entire time, I'm SO excited to get to be there this year with no crane AND to get to see the end results of the crane!!

Hey guys (looking at you BDL),

take a lookie, they are getting ready for US!!

Tee hee...

I'm sorry. What I meant tos was, TEE HEEEEEE :faint:

Whoa... I must've passed out for a second. Where am I... And what are those sugar plums doing?

PS: I noticed on the side a link for "Avataar-land updates". I clicked it and hoped to see "Project put on hold due to common sense."
