Ok, it looks like the party starts an hour before Wishes, which would be the same as the parade start. I found an old thread asking about whether you can see the parade from the Dessert party and the answer seemed to be - not really.

As for watching the parade and getting to the Dessert party - it's a 1.6 crowd day so that's not horrible. But still, moving around the Hub between MSEP and Wishes can be really problematic. If you watched the parade from the Hub closest to Tomorrowland you would get to the party after it started but probably still before Wishes. Though that thread above says it takes some time to check in. If I were paying for the Dessert party, I probably would not do it. But I guess it depends on what you're trying to get out of it.

We decided to do the parade and Wishes that day too, since the previous Wednesday got cancelled. It's our off day but we'll pop over just for that. We'll wave to you from Main Street.

Just wanted to say that we will be there the same night. We haven't seen MSEP either. We are hoping to watch it over in Liberty Square after dinner at LTT. We've done this a few times but to watch SpectroMagic. It was a good spot. Hopefully it will work out again.

I also figure it this way. I have sat down in Disney Restaurants and gotten appetizers for dinner - I was never told I had to get a full meal then.

Thanks. That's what I figured. I made an ADR for Citricos to get that warm banana chocolate torte. It's only over at the GF, so my partner and I can just take the monorail over there on one of our MK days.

PopArtGal -- I'm looking for window decorating ideas too -- we are celebrating both NYE and my DS's 8th bday.

BDL -- Great idea to propose at a photo pass location! The xmas trees would be a wonderful back drop too. I love your pic -- what a nice memory!

DisneyGuess -- I'm sorry to hear you were ill, I hope you are all feeling much better now. I'm hesitant about using 2 TS for Le Cellier too, but from what I've heard it will be well worth it.

Welcome to the boards and all I can say is WOW on your upcoming engagement! That is so romantic! Heck, I think ANY place in the WORLD would be great for a marriage proposal. We have ADRs at LeCellier too and I think our vacations overlap a bit......I will be looking for a guy on his knees at every turn while we're in Orlando. lol!!!!!

Thanks! I have lunch at Le Cellier on the 14th (I think 1:00 or so?). We're using that as our first stop for our beers around the world attempt So I don't think anything will be happening that day... Haha

Even if you don't want to propose in front of the Castle, think about a photopass stop somewhere. Maybe in front of the Christmas tree at the Grand Floridian. And having a couple of alternate plans going down might be a good idea. Sometimes I wish I had gone down with at least 1 plan.

I have been thinking it would be fun to get a picture of it... Then we could just send our family a picture of it as a way of announcing it. I can see it now: "oh heres another picture of them bragging about Disney wor... Wait what!!?" haha

I keep hearing mixed reviews on Le Cellier. I know I'll be paying OOP for at least 2 meals if we keep it, but as long as it's worth it, I won't mind! I keep watching for a lunch instead, but nothing so far!

I'm sure something will come up. You have to assume that there are at least a few people like myself who have two different times at the moment and will be dropping one.

We have lunch Le Cellier ressies for 2:25 on our Epcot day.......but then when BOG opened up for reservations, the only time slot I could get was for the same day....at 4:45!!! Can you imagine eating at both places so close together? I keep looking for earlier Le Cellier OR later (but not too much later) BOG ressies without much success. I will keep them both because I want them both (esp since Le Cellier lunch will be 2 TS credits next year).

Great!! October is my favorite month in Florida and especially at WDW. And now, you won't have the big letgdown when you return from your Christmas trip - you can begin planning for October. Doesn't get any better.
I just might have to suggest a similar plan to DH.
