Has anyone heard a schedule for Fantasyland/Test track opening.. such as media days times of closing. Think I read somewhere that the MVMCP for 12/6 was cancelled for a private party? Wanting to make sure I get everything just so....

BDLsgal just informed me that ABC Family Channel has released their schedule for the "25 Days of Christmas".

It can be seen HERE

Very cool, I will set my DVR before we leave for WDW, I don't want to miss Despicable Me. :lmao:

My fav is Elf; have that on DVD already, a classic!!! :happytv:

Thanks for the 411 popcorn::

Let me get this straight. You want THIS board to KEEP you from spending money? Val, did you get hit on your head or something, or have you just not been reading the past 600+ pages???? 'Cause I'm pretty sure this thread exists just to GET people to spend more money on Disney stuff :lmao:

I was doing a good job of spending $$$ on everything Disney way before I found this thread! :sad2:

Pretty good day! Got my dress, shoes and shoes for my DD in the mail. All are AWESOME! I also went out and got my DDs Snow White dress for Halloween. We are hoping the rain holds off and we can go to a Festival in VT on Sunday. DD3 will be Snow White and DD1 will be Nemo!! :D

How cute!!! pixiedust:

Yep, I also don't have much of a choice of where to buy things, living on Maui. We're very deprived, don't even have a Target only a Walmart and Costco. So what shopping I do is a lot on Amazon and eBay.
However, I came to California yesterday for an interview tomorrow, and since the friends I'm staying with live right near an outlet mall (one of the ones that take up a few blocks)

All you need in Maui is shorts, tanks, sundress' & flip flops! I love Maui! :beach:

So why are you in California looking for a job? Wondering where you are? we have outlets just down the road from where I live; in Camarillo. We are between LA and Santa Barbara, land of fruits and nuts. :dance3:

I thought what I read was that FLE will be closed during MVMCP due to the private event. MVMCP was not cancelled. I think people with tickets that day who called about it reported back that Disney offered to refund their tickets if they wanted to cancel. There's a thread on MVMCP that talks about this

Good morning! Happy Friday! :wave2:

I don't have much of a choice. I live about 2 hours from "real" shopping. Not worth the gas or time! I tend to take days to mull over online shopping - because I've gone on shopping binges... Damn you amazon prime!! Like today I drove 50 miles to the grocery store because my other choices are Walmart and small junky stores with half rotten produce. I do make a point when we do drive long distances to look for 2nd hand stores especially for good quality children's clothes.

I find it amazing sometimes that I moved from NJ a shopping Mecca to about an hour and 15 min south of Canada in the middle of the woods!!

I live in a DC suburb with plenty of shopping options but I hate shopping in brick & mortar stores, especially for clothes. It's exhausting, takes a ton of time and half the time I dont find what I need. I've been shopping mostly online for years - clothes, gifts, groceries, you name it. About the only thing I don't have good luck with online is shoes. Needless to say, I buy shoes as infrequently as possible. I have Amazon Prime, of course. I use Subscribe & Save for everything household items, except paper products (those I get at Sam's Club every couple months). I buy clothes for the family mostly from Old Navy/ Gap, Lands End, Ann Taylor Loft and Kohls. I like stores that have easy online returns.

MK closes at 7 on the 5th too. MSEP is cancelled and Wishes at 6. Other than that, no details.

I couldn't do that. I live outside Philly where I can be to any given store in 10/15 minutes. We lives 60 miles north or Pittsburgh and our options were Walmart or giant eagle. The closest decent mall was either in OH (an hour away) or Pittsburgh (over an hour away)

I hate buying clothes online. It usually ends up in a return. I have found 2 companies I can buy from with no fitting issues. My husband has issues with online clothes shopping too - I also couldn't buy groceries online either - the majority of what goes in my cart is fruit, veggies, dairy. Very little packaged food and with how my kiddos eat its every week I am looking for a new food for them to trick them with ;) I did used to get some things like diapers, wipes, formula (thank god I don't need to buy formula anymore!) but I found them cheaper at other stores. Shoes are sooo hard for me too- but I have found Keens and I swear they made them for my feet!! However electronics, larger toy purchases, books, kids clothes no problem online. I also wish we had better toy shopping - I buy most online but occasionally spur of the moment things are fun and its so hard.

Me and Amazon prime = bad news. Over shopping galore! :) One reason I also refuse to keep my credit card on file at the Disney store website!

Wow, I didn't realise you were so remote. How cool though - such a diverse move, was it because of work? I remember when I first moved here I couldn't sleep because it was too quiet. In London you are so used to people walking up and down the street you live on all night long & traffic that there is a constant noisy hum.

No sure about Test Track but I don't think they will be cancelling MVMCP on the 6th - it is still showing on their website as a night you can purchase tickets. Considering they are non-refundable, if the party were cancelled they would have to remove that from their website to stop any further tickets being sold.

Test Track in Epcot will have a soft opening prior to the official opening but I'm not sure about media closings and stuff.

 No Target!?!?! Thats tragic - poor happy tink who has no Target

Good Friday Morning all! We have a busy weekend with halloweeny-y things. Tonight is Trunk or Treat at a local church. Tomorrow is Boo at the Zoo and Sunday is trick or treating at the mall. Also, today is DS2's Halloween party, so he gets to dress up for school. We are trying to get use out of their costumes as much as we can since it looks like Halloween will still be bad around here from Good OL' Sandy. Ugh. I need to get to the store today to get a few more things before everyone heads out for 'French toast supplies' (you know stocking up on milk brea & eggs before the storm)

I am so excited - just paid off my vacation!! WOOHOOO!! On the other hand...OMG that hurt but a few maxed out credit cards for two weeks won't kill me...I hope lol :)

Just so happy to know it is paid for, food is free and flights were booked ages ago. Now just to save up spending money and spring the surprise...I can't wait!!!! :):cloud9:

We are done with it. We want to move outside of Raleigh NC. We have family down that way, warmer weather and it seems like there is a lot of options for us. Another huge negative is there isn't a lot for our kids to do except take then hiking, which we love but we also can't do it from November to May bc winter is soooo long. I do love NH but its just not right for us anymore - I want my kids to be brought up in a different area, better education system, more options etc.... One thing I will miss is the farms - oh my gosh awesome fruits, veggies, meat etc! So fresh!! I am spoiled by that which is why I didn't mind getting stuck behind a tractor on my way home yesterday....

I can't buy clothes online at all - I have terrible fitting issues what with my height etc. Same with shoes, have to try those on.

Couldn't do groceries for the same reasons as you also as I like to pick all my own veg & meat .... which is why I never shop in Walmart .... I'm one of those people opposed to the processing industry so I do most of my shopping in Publix as their fresh stuff is the least meddled with. Yeah. I read too much :rotfl:

Awesome! Thanks for sharing! I loveeeee 25 days of Christmas :goodvibes

I loved the Camarillo outlets!I lived in LA for 2 years and tried to escape to that area every few months. It was such a welcome relief from the congestion of LA.

http://www.easywdw.com/news/unexpected-extension-to-magic-kingdom-hours-in-november/

Disney appears to be extending Nov hours for FLE previews. Wonder if we can expect the same around Grand Opening.

I saw that last night and I really hope so. I'm not sure where I could fit in a super late night in MK but I'd love to be there at 1 a.m.!

I am so excited - just paid off my vacation!! WOOHOOO!! On the other hand...OMG that hurt but a few maxed out credit cards for two weeks won't kill me...I hope lol :)

:(:sad::sad::sad: Me crying because I don't have a Publix

I can't buy clothes on line either - for some reason when I put them on I don't look like the models that were wearing them online. What's with that? :confused3
