Good Morning!!

Good morning!!! Guess what? Late last night I was doing my usual "search for a better ADR time" and I scored Cinderella's Castle at 8:05 on our MK day!!! I really just wanted Crystal Palace because of Pooh but I knew I wanted something inside MK before the people's got in the way of my magical moments.......I'm going to have to force dh to share a couple meals elsewhere during our stay in order to fit in the "4 TS" deal but..........yiiipppeeeeeee! So now the question is to those who have been.......should we keep our Tusker House am pre-AK opening ADR? Is the breakfast there really not to be missed? It's our last day at the World if we do go and we'd probably only have time to do one ride plus the breakfast IF we keep it. It also forces us to add on a day to our KTTW because I'm doing early ticket pickup. What to do?

Good Morning all - Had a lot of catching up to do this AM - haven't logged on since 6:00 PM yesterday. Now I have to go read the new Mousesaver which just came. Busy, busy, busy - dusting and vacuuming will have to wait - AGAIN.

Im so excited and looking fwd to this trip having never been in Dec! A bit nervous about the crowds.. We have been twice in mid June, is it that bad? LOL

So much to look forward to, the new fantasyland, test track being open, osbourne lights, Candlelight Processional! Really wish I could get a BOG ADR tho, I mean we will do lunch but my understanding is you wont get to see what you would at dinner.

Since it was a last min booking I didnt get a whole lot of ADR I really wanted.. Im grateful for what I did get tho..

Keep trying for your ADRs. I check daily if not more! I've been during the Holidays once before but if it's possible to be more special, then that it is! Plus it's nice to be away from the "winter" of home as Florida is always warmer

Another question and this is important! What do you consider to be top 5 princesses? What about Tinkerbell? I have 5 frames for ornaments....I live Tinkerbell too.....

I Agree - I think Tinkerbelle is considered a fairy, not a princess.

You need more frames. LOL

Cinderella, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Belle and Ariel would be my picks. But that leaves out Rapunzel, Tiana and Jasmine. Not to mention Pocahontas, Mulan and Merida. If you want to include Tinkerbell, just pick out your favorite 4 princesses. Or print out pictures of CUPCAKES.

That is GREAT news!! Those early CRT ressies are TOUGH to snag. Now you can walk Main Street before the park opens and get some cool pics. PP photographers are there too.

I have not been to Tusker House BUT, I am obsessed with the Restaurants boards The only thing I wonder is whether it is worth adding an extra day just for breakfast & maybe one ride .... the breakfast is good I hear, but is it worth the extra day?

Also, regards to your TS credits, you could do what we did last year - we paid OOP for one meal, the cheapest one. I'm not sharing my food

Congrats on the CRT ADR!!! I vote you cancel Tusker House. I think you will be so sick of food by then, you won't want it. What time is your flight? I would just sleep in and pack if you don't have much time. Or leave it open in case you just have to get one more ride on something. Or one last picture of the castle.

So I think I figured out my days... Thanks for the advice so far and feel free to give me any input you have, especially for good CS.

3rd: Arrival Day. Check in then head to Epcot for dinner and catch illuminations.

4th: Hollywood Studios and Osbourne Lights (thinking later start to recover from our early flight the day before) and maybe Fantasmic.

5th: MK all day with MSEP and Wishes

6th: Epcot

7th: Animal Kingdom then DTD in the evening for dinner (EoS)

8th: Epcot and illuminations (focus on WS and storytellers more this day)

9th: MK then dinner at OHana. Meeting my daughters old respite provider who is going to PA school in Orlando for dinner. Hoping to see Holiday Wishes from the Poly Beach?

OK. What are your thoughts/ideas?

Having connection problems this morning but I ant to make sure this gets posted.

There's no MSEP on the 5th. Wishes is early and park closes at 7. Your only options for MSEP are Mondays (PM EMH), Saturday (high crowd) or Wed, the 12th. If we do it at all, we'll do the 12th. Also, MK and Epcot AM EMH switched that week.

So when I started poking around on the DIS, I had never heard if touringplans.com. Then, I refused to even look at it cause I didn't want to start second guessing myself and my plans. Well now...

I'm panicking because we are going to HS on Dec 2 and the website says this is the park to avoid! I want to switch it with our Epcot day on the 3rd, but I don't want to give up my LeCellier ressie!

So now I'm stalking for LeCellier on Dec 2 at lunch.

Oh DIS...what have you done to me? LOL

Maybe you could do HS and still make Le Cellier. You can walk between the two parks in under half an hour.

Touring Plans ALWAYS says to avoid the park that has EMH that day, which is why they are saying to avoid DHS that day. Doesn't necessarily mean the park will be packed that day though.

Good point. Their recommendations also assume most people don't have EMH. That's why I ignore the recommendations and just go by the numbers. DHS doesn't tend to vary that much.

I had Gestational Diabetes as well with my first pregnancy. I learned a lot and its really what inspired my weight loss. It scares me that even in good health and in the middle of my weight range I am still more likely to develop it. When I get down in the dumps I eat junk food which sucks but I am doing if less and less... My weakness is sweets....

I don't eat that much sweets. In fact, I don't have any in the house and I try not to. I may buy Oreos once a year or something else, but that's about it.

Right not for me, it's just trying to measure out the correct carbs. Plus it's hard to log a poppyseed kaiser roll (or as we call them here in NY, hard rolls) when most states don't even know what it is. Hard rolls over here are freshly baked with no nutritional info so it's even harder to log in.

Looks like I've got 7 pages to catch up on since yesterday! Yikes!

I liked Tusker House but unless you're dying for the characters, it's nothing special. We did it on our last big trip, where we booked to late to get the really popular character meals.

My question back to you about your last day is - what else would you do? Personally, I'm generally all about as much park time as possible, especially on a shorter trip. But a character (or other fun) breakfast at a resort would work too. And then maybe checking out some resort holiday decorations if you haven't already?
