PART FOUR!! *December 2012 Roll Call* Holidays, FLE & MVMCP!! A very, merry thread!

I have a lot to catch up on, again. But I may not be posting for a day or so (hopefully it will be shorter than that).

My family and I have had to spend the night at my mom's last night because we have not heat in our house. We've got plenty of fuel, but no heat :cold:. We live in my FIL's house and he thinks that it's the chimney that clogged. Never mind the fact that the burner is the 3 section type that he had put in in the 1950's

My FIL is 84 and can be very stubborn - meaning, no one else can do the job except him (he has always been that way according to DH). He just had full knee replacement surgery on his left knee and now his right knee is hurting really bad. He's compensated all these years by putting all of the pressure on his right knee instead of his left and now the damage has been done (his doctor told him he should also have the knee replacement done for his right knee). So he is not physically able to do things that he did when he was much younger. But as they say, "You can't teach an old dog a new trick." However, my FIL did tell me yesterday that he may need to call the person who worked on the burner before. I believe it's a friend of his that's in the business.

Thankfully, my mom is only 2 minutes away and she already offered for us to stay over if we needed it. And we need it now that the weather is getting colder.

Two weeks can't get here fast enough, lol! I'm looking forward to warmer weather in Florida :beach: compared to this.

29 more days!!!!!!! Next month at this time we will be heading to Hollywood studios!!! For our 10:00 add at H&V I've never had breakfast there, their dinner is not to good! But my kids love Disney Junior and rather eat at the park since we are using Disney Buses! So excited!!!!
I currently do not have a double stroller an my husband told me just to rent one from magic strollers for 55 bucks rather than carry one on the plane and all, unless I find one for cheaper on craiglist

My entire trip is paid for my deluxe dining and airline tickets! So I only need some spending money to buy some sweaters hats etc

Close your eyes and imagine the warmth of Disney!

So true. This happens all the time - when my trip is close I think my goodness, so many complaints, am I going to have a good time? I think that so many people focus on little (to me) things that the big picture gets lost some times. Hey I'm just glad to be off work and on vacation with my family!

:lmao: The crazy ones fascinate me!

I always take the complaints with a huge pinch of salt because tbh, I am yet to see a real complaint. None of them really impact your vacay.

exactly! It seems like people want perfection and are let down with anything less than what they've imagined. I wonder how they function in real life!
I look at it as I've made a plan and am knowledgable about the trip, so whatever happens, we deal with it. It's a good way to teach your kids flexibility too. We've had many moments on different trips, Disney & not, where something goes awry and we deal with it, move on and it becomes part of a funny family story. And hey, a bad day on vacation sure beats a good day at work :-)

Aww, good luck!!

Haha I know - its so easy now to capture those moments!

Just remember, and I tell every parent this, please please please make sure you have all digital media backed up somewhere, somehow. Get your fav digital pics printed and put movies on CD's ..... sadly I know several parents who have 'digital kids' and lost absolutely everything through technology disasters :(

I lost about 5 years worth of family pics. I thought I backed them up on my external hard drive and they just aren't there. :sad1:

:lmao: I have to say, I've been finding it very entertaining!

Good morning everyone :)

I read the whole Bus thread yesterday. It was definitely entertaining. It took a lot not to post something in response.

This is exactly what is going through my head. Will I have a good time, will I be disappointed? I'm afraid of the vacation let down, that it really wasn't as great as I expected it to be.

I'm trying not to get my hopes up too high so I'm not disappointed. But it's DISNEY!!

We leave in 25 days. In 26 days we'll be getting ready to get off the train in a few hours.

*runs in and slams the door*

Ok, someone lock me in here now. I shouldn't be allowed on the other boards
