Just got back from a Magical trip to the World. Our Cast consists of Myself, the planner and Disney Commando, DH, doesnt care what we do, my Mother, who has come on a few trips with us now and always loves what I have planned, Cameron 7 and Colton 4. This was their 7th & 6th trips respectively so they have a good grasp of the place. I wont go into dining reviews here as I posted them on the Restaurant Board. I also went into more detail about the resorts on the Resort Board.
Sunday
Well, this was it...our big good bye.
Since we had to pack up this morning we figured it would be best to have DH take the kids out to give me some time alone. Its difficult to do anything with them nearby, especially something that involves organizing & cleaning.
Finally I had a morning where I didnt have to be the first one up and boy did it feel good. When I finally got up I grabbed my muffin that I had gotten at Captain Cooks last night before returning to our room, and a diet coke, and went out on the balcony for breakfast. DH got ready and then we went to DM's room to get the kids. We got them dressed, they had pop tarts, and they were on their way to MK. DM didnt have park passes for today so she stayed behind to pack up too.
It was EMH day at MK and the boys arrived a few minutes after 8:00. They rode Buzz, TTA, Carrousel of Progress, TTA(again) and Astro Orbiters. Thursday when we decided to do COP, I got the whinning, "I dont wanna do that" from Cam. I guess he liked it because today he actually asked DH if they could do it again. They also made a stop at Mickeys Star Traders and bought remote control monorails & Buzz Lightyear rides. These are so cute!
DM and I were just finishing up packing when they arrived back about 10:00. We finally finished everything, called Bell Services to take our luggage, and were out of our rooms by 10:45.
We had some time to kill as we had a PS for lunch at the Kona at 12:00 and our limo was picking us up at 1:00. We were cutting it close there, but Kona didnt start serving lunch until 12:00, so that was the best we could do.
After letting the kids play in the kiddie area a bit and watch some cartoons, we took a stroll through the art gallery there. I was always under the impression it was a Disney thing and Im looking for a nice Disney picture for my wall. But, upon exploring there was mostly ocean scenes there, not what I had expected.
We went up to the Kona to check in at 11:40, hoping to get seated a little early, but they wouldnt seat any of us lunch people until exactly 12:00. Luckily we had very good service, ate fast, and finished with time to spare. Then we grabbed our luggage and saw our driver was waiting for us, and we were on our way.
We did curbside check in at the airport which was a breeze. The security line was nothing here too. Before we knew it we were sitting at the gate...and I broke out some of the left over white chocolate from the Cinderellas Slipper for us to munch on. Boy did it hit the spot.
Our flight departed a few minutes before schedule( 3:20). I got my revenge on the music trivia game and actually ended up coming in first on it once. Before long we were touching down in Boston. As we landed our flight attendant...or "talent" as Song calls them, made an announcement..."Song Signature Sandwich, $8.00, Song Cosmo, $5.00, Touching down in Boston 15 minutes early...priceless"
As bummed as we were, it was good to be home.
We walked through a very decorated airport(due to the DNC coming to town), grabbed our luggage, and our Logan Express shuttle bus came soon after. Now it was time to start the laundry.
