Dh and I planned a last minute anniversary trip to WDW. We left on Thursday 2/13 after work, drove to the border of NC, spent the night, and arrived at WDW at 4:45 pm on Friday 2/14. We didn't bring the kids.

We stayed at OKW on 2/14 and 2/15,
then AKL concierge on 2/16 for our anniversary,
then back to OKW for 2/17 and 2/18
(it was a little jumping around, but we couldn't get 2/16 at OKW, but I was GLAD because AKL was GREAT!)

I will use my standard rating scale:

10- everything perfect...food, service, atmosphere (very rare)
9- excellent, almost perfect
7-8- very good, overall great experience
5-6- mediocre, might not return
3-4- bad, not returning
1-2- should close this place down!!!

2/14- dinner, Wolfgang Puck Cafe

We took the boat from OKW to downtown disney, very romantic albeit chilly that night. We walked to the west side and to WPC. We were told it would be an hour wait, so we put our name in and staked our claim at the bar which was very crowded (we waited behind a couple who was finishing their meal...it was very funny because as soon as they got up like 3 or 4 other people came up and asked if they were leaving to claim the seats and we were like NO they're OURS!!!). At the bar we ordered the valentines day sushi roll which was spicey tuna on the inside with seared filet of beef on the outside with avocado and tomato coulis. It was magnificent!!! We only ended up waiting 15 min. for our table and settled up at the bar.

I always am too full for a large entree when I order sushi, so I ordered my favorite trio spring rolls (chicken, shrimp, and veggie with dipping sauces - mustard, duck sauce, and raspberry), and an iceberg salad which was crispy and fresh.

DH also had the spring rolls and he ordered the cobb salad which was very good, though not nearly as good as Brown Derby.

The service was good, our waitress was very sweet and efficient.

Overall rating: 8 1/2 (the sushi a 9 1/2). We love this place and will always come back.

The next day we went to Celebration, FL as we had an appointment with a realtor (thinking of making an investment there). We arrived early and decided to grab a bite at the local diner:

2/15, breakfast, Market Street Cafe:

We ordered two coffees and were pleasantly surprised to get them in very large mugs (the coffee was good too)! I had scrambled eggs, rye toast and fruit. DH had eggs also with sausage and bacon. Everything was fresh and good. The place was very charming and DH and I could picture ourselves taking the kids here every weekend...and when/if we move there we will!!

Overall rating: 8 for a breakfast place. Would go back for sure!

Was with the realtor all day, went back to OKW, cleaned up and took the bus to MGM. We wanted to do the fantasmic dinner package at Brown Derby, but we were too late to schedule it. So we went to Prime Time.

2/15, Dinner, 50's Prime Time Cafe:

Again I was not that hungry so I split an onion ring with DH which are thin sliced and spicey and served with a horseradish dipping sauce. I then had a house salad with honey mustard dressing and a PB&J shake. This was the best shake I have ever had in my life...I kid you not! I had had the PBJ shake here before and it wasn't as good. This one had a LOT of flavor...YUM!!! DH had the pot roast and really liked it. Our "aunt" was friendly and nice as well.

Overall rating: 7 1/2 (the shake was a 10) will always be a favorite of ours!

That's all for now...stay tuned for reviews of AKL concierge, Jiko, Artist Point, and California Grille and MORE!!!!

Can't wait to read your next reviews:D

Thanks for the reviews! We ate at Wolfgang Puck's Cafe for the first time in December and loved it - we will most definately return!

I am most interested in your trip to Celebration with the realtor. Do you think you will be moving there?

Maybe so. We wouldn't be able to for awhile however, I'm in school and DH is a partner in the family business. We would buy and then move down later on.
