Parkside Diner

We have been there twice. The last time in Novmeber 2008 and it was a very good buffet restaurant both times. Not too expensive (like the Inventions) and a nice atmosphere.
Give it a try.

Hello thank you.

I thought I had it all thought out which restaurants to go to, but since the park is closing at 7pm, Plaza Gardens etc will mean we have to eat around 4pm. Now thinking of possibly Parkside and SL on the buffet section.

We always do this when the park closes early.

We don't waist any parktime by eating at 4pm and then be hungry at 10pm again.

We have a big (free) breakfast at the hotel, a snack for lunch and then a nice dinner in one of the hotel restaurants. Our affordable favourites are Cape Cod, Parkside Diner and the two restaurants at the SL.

Hello,

Could you give me a vague idea of the main meals ... especially re "simple" foods - thank you

As this is a buffet restaurant it is not easy to tell you what you will get.
I assume that this will also change a bit every evening.
But there is a wide range of starters, main courses and of course desserts. popcorn::
But there are also healthy options and a lot of food for vegetarians.

Here are some pictures of the Parkside Diner:

i ate there last week, the food was very nice, i prefered the starters and desserts to main course. as previosuly said as it's a buttet it probably changes quite often but a selection of what we had: starters, cous cous, chicken/rice salad, pasta salad, green salad, fish terrine, bread, cheese. main course, goulash, hugh chunks of beef in a sauce of some sort (it was a bit tough but tasted quite nice) white fish in white sauce (sorry don't know what fish it was!!), roast chicken, fish in bread crumbs, rice, roast potatoes, pizza, pasta in cream sauce, potato smily faces (highly recommended by my 8 yo dd who never eats them at home!!) plain Disney pasta, chicken nuggets. desserts, lemon meringue pie, chocolate tart, creme caramel, choc mouse, choc cake, fruit, fruit salad, youghurt, ice cream, jelly, and a lot more i just can't remember. i would eat there again. it was pretty busy but the food was hot and topped up all the time so there was never a shortage

hth and enjoy your stay
