Hi all. We will be traveling over President's Day Weekend to the WORLD. Our MIL and FIL, two nephews, myself, DW and DD6 :grouphug: will all be together for the trip. My MIL is hadicapped and is in a wheelchair. We are trying to decide whether it is better to do WCC from MK or WCC from Epcot. What is the best way from either of those parks to the resorts and what is an expected time frame to allow for travel.

Thanks in advance

If water levels are ok, the boat from MK to WL would be the best, but there are times when the boats are not handicap accessable. If at MK, simply ask if the boat can accomodate wheelchairs.

If at Epcot, simply take the bus to WL. MK is a bit faster, but either would be ok.... I would allow at least an hour for travel time. If you get there early, enjoy the view!

I am assuming WCC means Whispering Canyon. Good choice.. and fun!

There is also a bus from the MK to the Wilderness Lodge. If the boat can not take you over just continue over to the bus stops.

Sorry, Disney has moved the bus back to TTC, so in order to reach MK you would have to take the Ferryboat or ride the bus to TTC and get on the Monorail to MK. :surfweb:

That is a temporary move while they work on the MK bus station. The work should be done in Dec. so it won't be a problem for long.

Well, I not sure if that's going to happen, its true that the North Side of the MK Bus Station would be done with the Rehab this Dec, but the South Side will not be done yet. Also the Ft Wilderness Orange route bus is the route that takes care of the current Wilderness Lodge to TTC leg of the route, so management might just keep the route the way it is now even when the work at the bus station has been completed. :drive:

MK to WL would definitely be a shorter trip We have stayed at WL several times and never had issue with the boats not running. The dock is directly out of the exit of MK. In the evening after 2pm the boat goes direct to WL then on to FW. From MK to WL, about 7 mins. Still allow yourself enough time to get to the dock, and about 15-20 min wait for boat. After docking at WL, follow the dock around to the fork. Go to the right. Approaching the back of building, you will see double doors near some tables. BTW, the pool will be on your left the whole time while walking. Go through doors, turn left then right. This will lead you up a inclined hall. Once at the top, turn left then back to the right near the fireplace. WCC entrance near the front of lobby on your right. Ramp will be near restrooms just past entrance.

Have Fun!
