I was told that if you don't have the park hopper and you leave you cannot go back into that park. Ex: you're at magic kingdom leave, go back to campsite for lunch/swim/rest, but when you return you cannot go back into MK or whatever park you were in previously that day. Is this true? I thought park hopper was to go to multiple different parks in a day, not the same one. Just wondering......

You can reenter the same park.

With a base ticket you can exit and re-enter the same park all you want. With park hopper you can exit and re-enter any of the parks as much as you want.

And if you get tired of leaving and re-entering parks all day,, go fishing, :thumbsup2

In the old days you used to get a hand stamp when leaving the park so that you could reenter later the same day.

What I learned is that you can't burn two pass days on the same day. For example, I don't buy a park hopper but I buy a multi-day pass. If I go to the MK on Tuesday then later that day want to go to EPCOT on that same Tuesday and I am willing to burn another day on my pass the system will not let you in. Even if you are fine with it burning another day.

I'm almost certain you can reenter same day to the same park. Just look along the line of entrance machines facing the park side for a "hand stamp" or "readmission" sign or something like that as you are leaving. About the only time I've heard you can't is when the park is so full in the evenings they slow roll the entrance or block it completely (busy times with extra evening hours for example).

So go and have fun.
