Can theme park parking be paid for with a card or is it cash only? Thanks!

Unless were going to AK that day, We park for free at Boardwalk. Then use Disney transportation. That was we can hit Epcot or MGM right from there via Boat or walk to Epcot..Take Mono rail or Bus to MK.

You do understand that you aren't supposed to leave your car at a resort, you're not staying at, while you go to a park, right? Maybe you should park at either Epcot or DHS and take transportation to parks from there? Guests paying a ton of money to stay at BW shouldn't have to share their parking lotnwithbthose going to parks and trying to avoid parking fees.

You're not supposed to park at a resort for theme park access. It's not fair to the people who are staying at the resort.

These posts are fodder for people to jump on others. It didn't take long for you to get called-out. FWIW, I have.been known to do what you have done. For example. On one of my recent trips, I had a breakfast ADR at the GF on my getaway day. My flight was in the mid-afternoon, and I had a rental car. I parked at GF for breakfast, and then took the monorail over to MK for a few hours, and then took the boat back to GF to retrieve my car and head to the airport.

This made more sense to me than driving to TTC, and taking a tram, then monorail or boat over to MK. I don't want to waste a lot of time on my last day of vacation. Sue me!

I wish I could use you. Doing that is incredibly rude. You, as a visitor to the resort have other options for parking. Those staying at the resort do not. There is nothing worse than coming back to your home resort ánd not finding parking. And it does happen. It's about courtesy to others not just about making it easier for you.

Think of what it would be like if you went back to your home resort and found no parking because others not staying there took the spots. It would be awful, trust me having had that happen it is. You would rightly expect to be able to park at your home resort. So, if you wouldn't want it to happen to you at your home resort then try think of others, try to understand courtesy and show it to others at a resort you are visiting.

in 20 years, i have parked at many resorts when staying "off site". as long as i have business there first, like dinner or shopping, i have no problem then going to a park.

and, i have never witnessed a car get towed or never been given the mythical 3 hour parking pass.

and in the many many times i have stayed on property, i have NEVER not been able to find a parking space. EVER

Just because you are able to do it doesn't mean it's right.

Have you tried parking at BW during Food and Wine, on a weekend? Impossible if you aren't staying there. There are jersey barriers up! No one said a thing about cars being towed. While I have seen a car towed, I can't say why it was towed. I merely watched from my balcony at BLT!
And I don't think I said we couldn't find parking spaces at our resorts. I think I said we had to take spaces further back due to the front ones being taken by off site guests for the day. Have you ever just sat and watched the BW parking lot empty at 9:45? It's amazing.

So, in short. Can you park at a resort, and head to a park for the day? Sure. Will anyone do anything? Probably not. It's just annoying to have to walk a ways to get to your resort, that you are paying a ton of money for, because those that aren't staying there have arrived late afternoon and taken close to the front spots!
I really wish Disney would make a small lot for those not staying at the resort...they can park there but it's going to be a hike to the resort. Then, the major part of the lot could be keyed entry only.

Just because you are able to do it doesn't mean it's right...../QUOTE]I think those that do that, Diane, just have that, "if it's for me, anything goes" attitude. Folks like that live their lives that way, "it's all about me". Thankfully, those types are in the minority in life.
