Hey pintrader....do not retract that question...It's a great one!...in fact...I think you are getting thisclose to the pretigious Shacky award...rewarded to those questions that stump the entire parks game board....:)

In fact, do I hear any nominations yet?

BTW...are you talking about the WDWWDS???....To explain that is a LONG story...to be brief...the initials stand for Walt Disney World Water Drinkers Society....

There is a whole WDW Water thread that gives the ongoing saga of the WDWWDS...unfortunately I don't have the link here...I bet one of our fine CC members could give an introduction to the WDWWDS (and how to join) and post the link....

How 'bout it gang...should we let the newbies into the WDWWDS??? :)

Where in WDW can you find an actual helicopter (not on film)?

Answers to pintraders Horizons question (Stand back-here comes the shotgun)

KAAAABLAAAAMMMM!!!!

The floating dog on a leash
The upsidedown stationary bicycle
Crystals growing
Davey's birthday cake

(Sniff Sniff), I'm going to have take a moment. Too...many...Horizons....memories!!!

shoot !! I mean -- missed !! Just how does that Whiparita wench costume lok on you ??? I'll talk the pineapple Dole thank you:wink - wink:

So THAT'S what a shacky is. See if ya stick around long enough you learn more than ya needed .

jwill...I agree with Sinkerbelle...you can see a helicopter on the MGM backlot...I believe it is the one from "Blue Thunder"....

I hve another question. What is the significance of page 71? I made it and don't even know what to be excited about. Was that how far part I got or is it more trivial than that?

Hey...nobody wears a Whiparita Wench outfit around here but MBabe!

(she negotiated exclusive rights in her last contract!)

And someone was looking for the WDWWDS thread....

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?threadid=164013

This thread was in reaction to another thread that someone started. They saw a kid reach down in It's A Small World ride and cup some water in their hand and drank it. The original poster was mortified and figured that the water had to be bad for you. Others jumped in, tongue firmly in cheek, and raved about the great tasting waters all over WDW. And so the WDWWDS was born. :)

Good explanations Granny -- I'll add...
that the number 71 is revered by us in the CC... because 1971 is the year that WDW opened. So, we celebrate anything involving the number 71.

And... if there are any open questions, I'll guess Horizons.

PinTrader - you ask about page 71 - What year did WDW open? That date is the "Magic" number around these parts. :) When in doubt - guess the magic number.

Ah, there's nothing more refreashing in the afternoon, than a nice cool glass of the Backside of Water from Jungle Cruise. With a Dole Whip chaser, of course.

Newbies - don't worry about all the lingo around here - we've had a long time to create our own little culture. :) Maybe if I get the time, I'll put together a little 'Tour Book' of the CC. Just don't get us started on Tutu wearing oppossums.

Here's a "Where in the World" question I promised - I'll start with an easy one:

Since our Official Thread Historian (and Whiparita Wench) is not around, I can tell you that 71 is part of THE Magic Number.

The magic numbers include 1071 and 1971. We tend to see these numbers in everything, the way others see Hidden Mickey's! :p

So 71 is a very, very special number here in the 71' Chalk Circle. Now do you understand? :)

Oh, we're all so helpful today!! We all jumped on that magic number question!!!

And that sign is on the gate in front of ToT, isn't it?

Kim - That sign is by the ToT! Mmmmmm - the Backside of Water... so refreshing!

i'm fitting in. Sorry about the wench costume. Saw it on the floor and decided I was thirsty. Mikelly was the first poor unsuspecting soul around.

You would think her mother would teach her to hang her clothes up. oh dear---perhaps she has no mother. perhaps she's an orphan. Well I'll clean up around here and maybe she'll let me stay hahahahhahahha

I thought I asked my question SO LONG ago. It was only 24 hours but TEN PAGES AGO. whew and I thought I was a chatty cathy

Where in WDW can you find an actual helicopter( not on film)?
AAQ cards to stinkerbelle and higgs for backlot tour. That wasn't the one I had in mind but you both sound sure of yourselves. There is another one still out there.

Stopping by on a break from my darn meetings to say....

I leave for wdw in 45 hrs!!!!!!

And as a guess to the helicopter question.

The Backlot express has at least one, maybe two (blue thunder and I think a regular looking one).

I wouldn't be surprised if WDW had a medevac helicopter on stand by at all times on property.

Also, there are several helicopter tour places that are real real close to WDW :p

Don’t know about the helicopter,,,but I want to jump in on Kim’s pic question before all of the AAQ’s are gone,,,like others have said…that’s from the Tower of Terror :)

jwill…is the other helicopter in the American Adventure?

BTW…if you can stand it…here’s one more "what do these things have in common" question
What do these WDW rides have in common….the MGM backlot tour, the Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular, and the Great Movie Ride?

…and before you all jump in….I know all of them are at MGM…that’s not it…that would be wayyyyyyyyyy to easy :p

What do these WDW rides have in common….the MGM backlot tour, the Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular, and the Great Movie Ride?

Hmmm, I'll let my childhood friend Beavis answer this one.....

FIRE....FIRE.....FIRE

CD...LOL...but I don't remember real fire at GMR....so that's not the one I was looking for...good guess though :)

BTW...jwill...is the other helicopter in Toontown at Goofy's Barnstormer?

GMR has fire in the old west scene and I think at the temple.
Indiana Jones has Fire in a bunch of spots.
Backlot tour has it at the pearl harbor scene and at the catastrophy canyon.

I know my fire! :)

All encourage audience participation
I dont remember if Indiana jones has water that spills on you but I do know you can get wet at GMR(alien scene) and backlot tour(catastrophy)
All have a spielburg(sp?) part to them too....( i think) :
Indiana jones
ET in GMR film and encounters
he probably has something on the backlot tour(dont know)
Ahhh heck got to get back to the boring class.
