Pirate..... Yes there is a picture of Blackbeard (Edward Teach) at the end of PoC.... the Picture is from the Disney movie "Blackbeard's Ghost".

Documents suggest both Bristol and London in England, the island of Jamaica, where he was a Privateer, and even Philadelphia as his home. Once he began his Pirating career, like many of these outlaws, North Carolina's Outer Banks, because of its shallow sounds and inlets, became a haven for Blackbeard the Pirate.
