Parks Game - Part 13 - Still PLAYING!

Yeah Dave--I've been gone far too long....life is just crazy for me now---We just had our first child in February (a girl) so you can imagine that has kept me busy---I just figured I'd pop in for a visit....I'll try to stick around....

Let me see---I think I still remember how this works...

What proposed, but never built, Epcot pavilion was slated to host a film narrated by Alex Haley?

Equatorial Africa.

Higgs, congrats on the girl. Parenthood really makes life interesting! I was away on business in Arkansas, otherwise I would have answered earlier.

How abut another question?

Where in Walt Disney World have you heard this phrase?: "The sliding doors on your time machine will close automatically."

Thanks Dave! In keeping up with the Epcot space theme...

At Mission: SPACE, there are two physical tributes towards Horizons. What are they?

Ouch. Guess I cannot answer this one, as I have never been on Mission: SPACE. Shame too, as Horizons was my all-time favorite attraction.

Sad!!!! While M:S is not my absolute favorite attraction, it's grown on me. I guess it doesn't help that I work there...

Well...here's a hint for others: one is inside the queue, while the other is outside in front of the building.

To keep things going, I'll add an extra hint:

The tribute inside in on the X1 Gravity Wheel. The one outside...well...I can't really say anything else without basically revealing it. Let's just say it's in front of the building.

Page 5? Wow!

Finally learned a new tidbit I thought was worthy of becoming a question for the game. Of course, then I had to locate the thread and then do research to hopefully come up with an answer for the incomplete question hanging out there. Maybe I have it -- maybe not, we'll see.

Outside of the Mission Space Pavilion is a planter in the shape of the old Horizons building.

Right you are cabanafrau! Here's a SPACEy AAQ to you!

Thanks disneycruise!

If you want to pay a visit to Irrawaddy Irma, where would you go?

Absolutely Hmbldr! Your AAQ is cruising your way -- but be patient, it's coming via special route -- the backside of water!

Many thanks cabanafrau!

When Disneyland's America Sings was scrapped after its patriotic run, where did some of the refurbished AA figures find a new home?

OK, I guess a hint may be in order. America Sings replaced the Carousel of Progress for a few years during the Bicentennial. It was a musical tribute to America hosted by animal AA, actually I think they were all birds. Tiki predates this so that's not the answer.

Darn! I missed the eighth anniversary of the thread. But, then again, it seems everyone else did too. Guess the time has come to put this one to bed........
So long, Parks Game Threads. You were great at one time. It was good knowing ya.

I can't sit here and watch this thread go down!

Let's get playing!!

A little refresher on the rules:

You may ask a question after correctly answering a question and being awarded an AAQ (Ask A Question) card.

Questions should be in bold to allow us to follow the game more easily.

Lurking is okay, but it’s a lot more fun to jump in and guess! There is no punishment for wrong answers here!!

Questions should be focused on the four WDW theme parks in order to maintain our place on this board. A continued thank you to the moderators for allowing this game to continue for more than 3 years

And, in keeping with Parks Game tradition, we can continue this thread with the question that started it all….

In what WDW attraction is there a dog named Nana? And what year did it open?
