Parks Game: Part 10! How Perfect is That!!!

Thanks for the AAQ Beth!

:bounce: :Pinkbounc

ADad - is the dead person the Chinese Poet Li Bai in the Wonders of China film? I'm just guessing - because he sort of serves as a "ghost host" - so to speak.

Hmmmmmmmmmm - strike that last guess!

Now you've gone and pluralized it ADad - "dead people"!

Is that a hint too????

ADad - El Rio Del Tiempo?? Mariachi de Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead Mariachi Band)

A very morbid yet cheerful hispanic AAQ card goes out to 1Hour.....YES, I was looking for El Rio Del Tiempo, and 1Hour also gets an extra pat on the back for mentioning the "Dia De Los Muertos" scene which includes all the well dressed dancing skeletons (or ghosts).

...so to recap, AAQ cards go to:

Todd - HM
James - JC, PoC, ToT, IJSS
Beth - SWSA, GMR
and
1Hour - El Rio del Tiempo

congrats and Merry Christmas to all!

Man can no one guess what ride will start a renevation in spring 2004. it is not living seas nor is it alien encounter like some people said.

Hint: The renevation will be exactly a year from its previous renevation. And it is not in MK.

About the dead people question. I said that it might be Spaceship Earth because all those people they mention are dead.

I'll use my morbid AAQ now.

Where in the World can you enjoy a bread bowl of New England Clam Chowder?

Dogg - As far as the renovation question goes - I think most people are using the information that is posted by Disney as their information source. There are no scheduled rehabs beginning in the spring for any parks other than the rides that have been mentioned. So, you must have inside information that the other gamers are not aware of. If this is true - we need more hints from you to answer your question.

Oh well I visited the park and there were workers standing outside the attraction telling people that there would be a renevation.

Ok Hint 2: When you walk through the gates of this park you can see the ride straight ahead. Since it is not MK from the last hint, this should narrow things down.

Dogg - is it the Great Movie Ride? I know technically you can not see it - due to the large "icon" in the way.

As part of the extensive overhaul and rehab of Epcot (known as Project Gemini), it has long been rumored that Spacehip Earth will be updated and possible renamed "TimeRacers." However, there has been no "official" confirmation for Disney, although they have trademarked the TimeRacers name.

Was that what you were looking for?

D-God - You got it!

A steaming hot AAQ to you!

and also - this is my 600th post!

I'll second Ace on the spring '04 renovation question and say SSE is the answer.

.....BTW Dogg, when is this supposed to start (approximately)?

:earsboy:

you are 100% correct 1houraway. An AAQ card for you. Yes MGM Studios will have the Great Movie Ride under renevation around the middle of april. If you remeber last year, GMR was closed for painting, cleaning, etc. Now they are planning to close it down and completely redo the attraction. Obviously they don't tell too much, but they might keep some scenes. This is something they have needed for a long time now. Hopefully for the better. Yeah I love the big hat, but why block the Theater for that. I think a poor choice of layout. Ok I know they are trying to show it off as you enter the park, but come on it is the great movie ride.

Oh and about that project gemini, I don't expect that to appear at an Epcot near you. Supposedly, SSE fits in the sphere so absolutely perfectly that taking it out could damage the sphere and maybe even have it collapse years and years down the road. As of now that mammoth ball can stand for a very long time. I hope SSE stays. Oldie but a goody. It is long, enjoyable, relaxing, and interesting. Plus you can easily get on, something the new rides should be thinking of.

Congrats One hour! 600!!! WOO HOO!!! :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

okay - had to get some energy out!

I hate to do this to y'all, but I've got to go for awhile and I'm not sure when I'll be back to the DisBoards, so.....Granny gets it!

The spitter is on SSE in the caveman scene, he's holding his hand up to the wall and spitting "paint" over his hand leaving several hand shilohuettes on the cave's wall.

The slobberyest of AAQ cards goes to Granny!

Hope to see y'all soon.

:earsboy:

I think you guys are working to hard for questions. We rode SSE yesterday and five eyes checked out the caveman scene and npne of s could tell that the caveman was spitting anything much less paint. What do you do, get out of the ride and inspect the scene in detail? :)

GOMETROS - are you saying that the Caveman in question wasn't there?!? I haven't been there since 11/02 so I suppose I could be wrong. However, this is how I recall the AA in question:

....in the "caveman" scene on the far right-hand side ( near the end of the scene ), there is/was/may have been an AA with his back to the audience, and his hand held up in front of his face at arm's length and just over the wall of the cave. All around him are other neanderthal artisits painting scenes and the like on the cave's walls using all sorts of tools and such. You don't actually see the AA spit paint over his hand, but he does move his hand from side to side revealing one of several hand-outlines that have been "blown" on the wall. It's true, you don't actually see him spitting the paint, but that's how those hand-outlines are made, and I stand by the question and the answer.

Tell me this Gometros, if he isn't spitting paint/dye over his hand to create the outline, then what is he using?.....an aresol can?.....a compressor with a spray gun pluged-in to the cave's wall?!?

.....btw, was that 5 eyes or 10? If it was 5, who had an eye closed?.......:teeth:

Hi everyone! :wave2:

Just dropping in on Christmas Eve Eve....and I can't seem to find an open question. So I'll kick back and wait for someone to ask another one.

OK, I'm gonna throw one out there that hopefully won't spark so much debate and controversy...

What was the name of the SECOND "barker bird" that stood outside the Enchanted Tiki Room, replacing the original in 1992?

:teeth:

-A

....well let's see,....I think the original was Jose,....so the replacement could have been Felipe.

....although I didn't actually see him replace Jose.....I mean Jose was there one day, and the next it was Felipe (maybe).....but i didn't see one physically replace the other, I just kinda knew....:teeth:

Good to see you Granny! May I suggest chocolate-covered Mickey bars for a pre-Christmas eve snack?
