We took our girls to dhs and epcot yesterday and both parks were empty! TSM had 10 min wait at 10:15, got into early jedi training show and nemo had 0 min wait! Will travel again this time next year.

Dont tell people that :-)

IT IS A HORRIBLE TIME TO GO. NO ONE SHOULD EVER GO DURING THIS TIME.

(JK):rotfl:

Yup, we've been in the world since Saturday, leaving tomorrow. :headache: my husband and I have agreed we should never come back this week again - way too crowded :rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

We normally come later in September, never again! Yesterday soarin was a WALK ON at 10 am. They actually left the back row empty - there weren't any guests to put in the seats :confused3

Just got back and had the same experience. Oops! I mean it's a horrible time to way too crowded!:rotfl2:

I have to rethink our next trip becasue I said this was the last time I would take DD's out of school to go to WDW but, wow after the amazing week I might have to go back on my word.

That will all end 10 days from now when the Food & Wine Festival begins!

We were there during this week also.....the only Fastpass we had to get was for Toy Story Mania....everything else was a walk on......the only times we waited at all was for character greetings.....we even went to 50s Prime Time at lunch (without an ADR) and got seated right away.

We'll be there Friday - I'm counting on low crowds after the summer in Disneyland! I didn't realize people would actually wait 240 minutes for a ride!!!

This is the best time to be in the World! We walked on Soarin at 3 in the afternoon! It was awesome. Most people aren't willing to take their kids out of school so early in the year so it works out.

How's the weather been there? Did you get the typical quick afternoon rain or has there been a more steady rain going on?

On our way home now - wow MK was crowded yesterday! Not summer/holiday break crowded, but much more so than I expected! Or maybe it just seemed so. It was almost hard to walk through Fantasyland, with so many strollers parked outside IASW. Love what we can see of the expansion! DD had fun looking for horse hoof prints in the sidewalk. Great trip, and oh so tired!

Hmm, we are trying to decide on our official dates for WDW. Right now all we have decided is that it will be either September or October 2013, but we have to narrow it down soon.

Does it really become significantly more crowded once the F&W festival begins? I am afraid of the Halloween time crowds, but I would also like to push it toward October for hopefully slightly cooler weather and a lesser chance of hurricanes (for flight reasons less so than an actual hurricane in WDW).

Decisions, decisions....

F&W attracts people to Epcot's World Showcase. There is minimal impact on the crowds in the other parks, or even in Epcot's Future World section. Having said that, I'd suggest you go in October just so you can try F&W!

Just home last night, and having enjoyed the low crowds, I think that I agree with Jeff. If the opportunity presented itself to travel at this time of year, I would stretch it out to include F&W.

We hope that our next trip is April/May with our two sons, but F&W have this miserable almost empty nester thinking that things might not be so bad afterall!

Looks like we totally mis-time our vacation this year then.... Arriving on Oct 8th... having to work sucks. :rolleyes2

This is a horrible time to go to WDW the strollers are everywhere and the parents are looking to run you over. The weather is awful. There are mother nursing right on the benches.
You are better going to WDW during the Christmas/ New Years break or during the summer.
:scared:

bits-n-pieces it is not cool that you gave away the late September secret.
