Universal/IoA will close at 6:OO Pm today and will be closed on Sunday.

Hurricane Jeanne is expected to be a much stronger hurricane than either Charley or Frances, at least for Orlando. If you don't hear from some of us FL people after this evening, it probably just means we don't have electricity.

Good Luck to all of you living in Florida! I can't imagine going through this many storms in a row. Hang in there!!

My thoughts and prayers are with you guys. Stay as safe as you can and check in with us as soon as you have access.

I can't believe what a bad season you guys are having.
Stay safe and lets hope this is your 'dose' over for a good few years after this. Having said that I don't like the look of 'Lisa' at the moment but that's too far out to worry abotu yet.

Please give the link for closing info. The site I have is just the normal park hours.
Thanks,
~~g.

It was a scroll on one of the Orlando tv stations. No link.

See next post for update.

Announced on Local 6 news, Universal is closing at 5:00 PM today and will be closed all day Sunday.

WDW parks to close at 7:00 PM and closed all day Sunday.

South Florida checking in.
Publix closed at noon, all gas gone.
Winn Dixie open until 2pm. I was there, waited 30 minutes to check out with a few items. 4 cop cars with flashing lights let everyone know the store was closing.

If you are in Orlando, fill up your gas tank, and go to the grocery store one last time.

I don't think this storm will be bad, but it's just the fact that everything is shutting down.

My prayers are with you all. What a terrible Fall. Be safe and hopefully this will be it for hurricane season.

We just returned home...was suppose to be a nice getaway from Tampa to Orlando. The parks were basically empty today so FOTL wasn't really the perq we had hoped for; however, we still had fun but were told the parks were closing at 5 pm as we park hopped. Orlando is basically shutting down. We were at the RPH -which was really nice - and people were coming from the east to get out of the storm. Many of the restaurants were closing and food service was going to be limited so we just thought it best to come home. RPH, to their credit, did not charge us for tonight which did impress me. Last news report said that Orlando was going to have a mandatory curfew from 8pm to 6am but the news reports were changing every minute.

I hope everyone stays safe through this storm.

Was visiting with my sister in law tonight. Her mother called from West Palm/Delray area. They had turned off their electiricity at 7:00 tonight and were already having some heavy winds.

Your all in our prayers.

Post back when you can to let us know your alright!

Here near Tampa, it looks like it'll be more powerful than Frances was (but pass by more quickly). LOTS of wind/rain right now.

BG is closed today too.

Looks like the heavy rain is over Orlando.
It passed 65 miles to the south, but the big rain bands went to the north. Tampa is getting hit hard too.
Hope everyone is ok.
