Could anyone answer this. How busy are the parks at the end of the 1st week of January? We will be getting off the Wonder on Thursday morning. And have all day Thursday and Friday in Orlando.

I am trying to decide what to do with this time. We will be traveling with our 2.5 year old son, my mother and DH's 85 year old grandmother.
Should we even attempt it?

Hi,

Assuming you mean January 5 and 6, the parks should be pretty empty.

The WDW Marathon and Half-Marathon are that weekend (Jan 7-8) but the people arriving for the event will have little to no impact on park attendance when you are there.

Enjoy!

Yes! I do mean Jan. 5 & 6. That sounds good. Which is my best bet with a toddler?

That is our favorite time of year!!! With your group i think I would start both days at the Magic Kingdom, take a nice long break and then do Epcot one evening and if it is open late enough do MGM the other. If not do Epcot both evening.

Have a great trip.

I was thinking probably the Magic Kingdom. Our son and mom/grandma haven't been to any. I think I have seen before that you can rent those mobile carts to help get around (I don't know what they're called). I was thinking this may be a good idea for Grandma. Hopefully we will be able to secure one. She uses a cane.
