does anybody know how parking works for us at disney?i think we get free parking at dvc resorts but what about the parks?i know if i buy the uph unlimited parking is included.when you pay for parking at one park , can you go from park to park and use the same parking ticket?or do you have to buy anther parking ticket?this would seriously put a damper on my plans to hop from park to park throughout the day:(
are there weekly parking passes?is there a site that talks about parking?

If you are staying at any on site resort - including the DVC resorts, parking is free. You will get a parking pass to put in the window of your car when you check in.

Best wishes -

As a guest of a WDW resort, you will get free parking at all of the parks. At check in you will get a pass to display on the windshield of your car.

Have fun hopping.

Nope! Only the annual/premium annual passes include free parking. (I suppose you could also say that the UPH - Length of Stay passes include parking because you can only buy those if you are staying at an on site resort). :)

ya carolmn i just did a search and found no evidence that parking was included at the parks.it IS included at all other resorts, right?what is parking at the parks?expensive?:(

If you stay at a DVC resort, parking at the theme parks is free.

If you stay at any on site WDW resort, parking at the theme parks is free.

If you are staying off site, parking is $8/day - you only have to pay once if you drive between parks on the same day. Just keep the receipt to show the attendant at the othr parks you visit on that day. Again, that is only if you are staying off site.

Self-Parking at the resorts is free to all. Some resorts restrict parking to non-registered guests by issuing a pass good for only a few hours. Disney discourages people from parking at a resort if they are visiting a park. But there is no charge for self-parking at a resort

If you have an annual pass or a premium annual pass, free parking at the theme parks is included, no matter where you stay. Some Florida resident passes also include free parking.

But to repeat, if you are staying at any on site resort, which includes OKW, BWV, BCV, VWL & SSR, you do not have to pay to park when you drive to any of the Disney theme parks.

Best wishes -

Carol is correct, parking has NOTHING to do with park admission media (except for Annual Passes). If you are are a guest at ANY Disney or DVC resort at WDW, you receive a pass for your dashboard/windshield.

DVC members also receive free valet parking at DVC resorts that offer valet parking services.

thankyou all.i THINK i get it now;i'll be staying at ssr from nov 30-dec 11 and i understand that i WON"T have to pay for parking no matter where i am(mk,ak,contemporary,coranado...) as long as it's disney.right?!please say i'm right!

Carol,

I'm wondering this though...if you go to the park before you check in and/or activate your AP do they validate your parking? (I'm thinking Fat Chance!-Right?)

if you are staying off-site and have the AP certificate - just show that to the security people at the front gate of whatever park you are going too.

they let me in without paying - so if you have the certificate that is generally good enough

always go check in your resort - you might get lucky and they will have a room ready....if not then you don't have to come back and try to check in when everyone is in line checking in....you get a phone number to call!

If the parking attendant won't let you in with the voucher (believe most will), just take the parking receipt with you to the ticket/guest relations window and show it to the CM who exchanges the voucher for a pass. You will be reimbursed for the parking fee. :teeth:

Yes, you are right!

Have fun!

if you have the reservation confirmation from DVC and still want to go to the parks before you check in - just show that to the guards - you will be let in - no problems.

You would have to pay for valet parking at non-DVC resorts (only deluxe have valet). I believe it's $6.00 per day. Self-Parking is free (although some resorts have time restrictions on self-parking).

Thanks everyone! We have a Date with the Princesses that morning and really wanted to hit the park first!

To the OP...sorry if I messed up your post...

However, they may not let you park at the Contemporary or Polynesian or another resort if you are not a guest there. It's the call of the guard at the parking lot entrance.

If you are going to the theme park, you should park at the theme park. If you are going to a resort to eat, etc, then you might be able to park at the resort.
