Does anyone know if you need a park reservation to simply park your vehicle at a park? If I wanted to park at HS and then walk from there to the boardwalk area is that allowed?

They don't check, in my experience (twice at DHS). They'll remind you you need one as you're going in, but that's really only if you're going into the park.
Thank you! I wasn't sure what kind of information they are able to see from scanning my magic band. Obviously they can see if you are staying on-site to know if you need to pay for parking, but beyond that I wasn't sure.

I miss the old days of park hopping and going wherever you wanted to go. Now it seams like they don't want you to be there unless you have a reason to be. I understand the reasoning, but it's just one more restriction I don't like.

If they CAN see your park reservation (doubtful), they aren't going to deny you access to the parking lot. They have actually been having folks who want to ride the Skyliner to park at DHS instead of parking at one of the resorts.

In my experience as a passholder, when you enter a theme park parking lot, they ask you if you have a theme park reservation. Since I always did, I don't know what would happen if you didn't.
