where can we park at the Grand California and is there a fee? Thanks

There is free parking for hotel guests right across the street, but if you're not a guest the closest would be the DTD parking at the top of the map (3 hours free, additional 2 hours with validation).

Just drive up to the entrance of GCH and park to the side while someone goes in and checks in. Upon check-in, they will give you a pass to put on your dashboard with the dates of your stay. Note: GCH will let you check-in even before actual check-in time. They will just call you when the room is ready (if you have a cell phone). At least you can get the pass, park and spend some time at the parks already ;)

If there is no parking fee for GC, why is there one for Dl hotel? I know that the Disney Hotel has their own parking lot, but still somehow it does not quite seem fair.

Backing up.... parking is paid for with the Resort Fee. The Resort Fee is charged directly to guests who booked room-only (is about 13.80 per night of the stay, you pay it on checkout), is hiding inside of the total charged on a package deal, and is somehow included but not seen (probably paid for by dues) for DVC people staying on points.

The Resort Fee includes parking, newspapers on weekdays, the fitness center, and so on.

Oh so then the parking is not free for any of the DLR hotels. Well that is fair then, and good to know. Thank you Molly. :)
