When you stay at the resort is parking free at the theme parks? I am thinking of renting a car just for the time factor in waiting for the buses.:confused3

Yes, parking is free for WDW resorts but at the Swan and Dolphin, I think it is $10.00 per day.

We rented a car in June and was able to show our room key to the front gates and was able to get in without paying. Infact, when we decided to resort hop one day, all we did was show are room key at the gate and they just waved us in, didn't have to worry about giving them a reason why we were there. I love Disney transportation, but I thought that taking our rental car all around was the smartest move for us since we have 2 young kids.

Best of all possible worlds: resort guest, rental car, and AAA parking pass.

In the quieter times of the year there is no problem self-parking just about anywhere as a resort guest except for the Contemp and GF (valet works fine at both of those but costs a few $$).

When you check in, you'll be given a paper parking pass to put on your windshield. That will get you into the resort parking for free.

For the other poster - yes, you park for free at the parks with an Annual Pass. Show your pass but have it out of your holder. They will need to see the back of it for the expiration date.
