parking, valet or otherwise at resorts...

I've heard that valet parking is free, but (forgive a newbie from the uk) how does it work?

also which resorts have valet parking, I'm guessing ak and the other deluxes?

we're going to pofq, where is the parking area, are there disabled spaces?

I would like to know the answer to this, also. We are taking my father who is almost 70 and has suffered a broken hip. We will have his handicap hang card with us. I know he will want to visit the Contemporary, Poly, Beach Club, and GF. Thanks for the info.

All the deluxe resorts have valet parking. If you have a disabled plate or hang tag they will not charge the valet fee, but you should still tip the valets.

If you are not staying on property, and do not have an AP, you will have to pay a general parking fee when you go through the MK toll plaza even though the hotels do not charge.

All of the resorts have lots of disabled parking very close to their main building. Those that are spead out also have disabled parking close to each building.

The handicapped parking for each resort is the closest parking to the resort, but in many cases, it's a pretty good distance from the door of the resort (enough that when we went to AKL, my FIL asked us to drop him off if we were not valet parking).
If the valets see a disabled parking tag, they will tell you that you don't need to pay the valet parking fee. I don't remember if all the deluxe resorts have this, but many of them have a marked handicapped spot for drop off.

this time we're staying on property, I'm really excited, but somewhat nervous too, lol.

I just pictured the hadicapped parking being miles from our room, not that mike minds in his chair, but when I've pushed all day I'm ready to cry when I get off the ferry at the ttc

We stayed at POFQ last summer and found parking there no problem. All the parking areas have disabled bays closest to the buildings.
We were in building 3 on the parking lot side facing the garden and it was just a short walk to the car and also close to the food court, pool and bus stop.
Buildings 1,3,4 & 7 would all have rooms close to the parking lot.
We really loved POFQ, you have made a great choice.
