Parking Tips - Galveston

Where have you parked in Galveston? b/c Disney is only part time here a number of lots I'm seeing allow only reservations for Carnival and RCL b/c they are here year round.

I prefer Galveston Park N Cruise because it is right across from the port terminal. EZ Park and Lighthouse also get good reviews, but require a further walk or a shuttle ride.

I have not experienced an issue with them not wanting to rent a spot because I was sailing Disney

There is tons of parking around the port. Most have websites you can reserve in advance. I don't think they reserve for one specific line. We parked at a covered lot and had no problems. They just want a full lot because an empty space is lost money. The only catch is check their hours. They cater to cruises so they only operate during hours of passenger changeover. We seen tons, though, like Port Parking, Lighthouse, EZ Park, etc.

So are those only for drive up to fill spaces, b/c I've checked a number of the lots listed and for reservations the first step is to select your sailing and Disney is not usually one of them, I actually came across this test at Port Parking: Port Parking is the largest indoor parking facility in Galveston and is one of the very few cruise parking facilities that services the Disney Cruise Line.

This led me to believe that other lots would try to fill up with other lines first and I'd hate to drive down there without reservations and not be able to find a parking spot close by.

You might try calling to make a reservation if you do not see the reservation you want online.
