We are flying out of Detroit for the first time. Any suggestions on best place to park? We aren't flying until night time so won't be needing a hotel.

We've used Airlines Parking. They have a weekly rate of $55. I printed a coupon off of the website. The lot is well lit, and seemed very secure. Only complaint we had was the "free-for-all" to get a spot on the shuttle. You had people jumping on the shuttle, while others were at the back putting their luggage on. We had a lot of luggage and 2 young kids, so after 25 minutes of not getting on a shuttle, I finally had to enlist the help of the airport personnel that was directing the shuttles. The shuttles did keep coming one after another, but I just wish they had a bit of a queue instead of this push and shove way.

We fly out at 9:20 next Sat so I'm gearing it with the weather. I don't sleep well in a hotel the night before we fly, so I'd prefer to leave in the middle of the night and just drive there. If weather is going to be bad, I'll book a park'n'fly.

The "big Blue Deck" at the airport is now about $16/day per their website. So very expensive in comparison.

We used the BBD in Ocotber of 2007 for $9.00 per 24 hour period.
$16 that's quite an increase.

We are flying out of Mcnamara terminal and into North Terminal. Are their shuttles for both terminals from the BBD?

I fly out of Detroit a lot and always use U.S.Park on Merriman Rd. Never a problem and always lots of shuttles.
