We are planning a trip next May to the Flower and Garden show and bringing my parents. They think they want scooters for the parks. I've read the threads on rental sources, rides and transportation. What I didn't see is where these get stored and recharged during the night. Does BCV have someplace to park them if you don't need them to get to your room? If not, is there enough space in a 2BR to store them?

Thanks,
Buz

PS - I have already looked and posted on the Disabilities board.

one can be store in the entry way - I think there is a plug there - but 2 - I just don't know.

My DF, 84, goes with us fairly often & we rent him an ECV from Walker Medical. We stayed in a dedicated 2 bdrm @ BCV last Nov. and the ECV fit just fine in the entry hall (and yes, there is a plug). I don't believe 2 would fit though. You may need to ask for a dedicated 2 bdrm. w/ 1 queen bed & the sleeper sofa, and then you could fit the 2nd ECV in the bedroon by the closet. As far as I know, baggage services will only store it for pick-up & drop off at check-in/out. Good luck!

Thanks for the info.

Last year when I was at Animal Kingdom lodge they kept my scooter at bell services. They plugged it in to recharge and had it ready for me in the morning. Don't know if all the resorts are like this but they were very accomodating.

This past March we stayed at BWV and someone had a scooter parked in the hall to recharge. It sometimes got in the way of the hall 'traffic'. I don't know if there wasn't enough room in the guest's unit or if they just didn't want it inside. We did finally see the guest using that particular scooter and they were in the unit across the hall from where they parked it. I would ask at the bell desk. They are so accommodating and can make a suggestion I'm sure.
