Parking rates increase by $2 on 10/4

Parking fees increase by $2 at the parks from today

The parking fees at the parks have increased today by $2. The new prices are as below.

New parking fees

Car or Motor Cycle $14
Camper or Trailer $15
Bus or Tractor Trailer $18

Previous parking fees

Car or Motor Cycle $12
Camper or Trailer $13
Bus or Tractor Trailer $16

Eh ... my local zoo charges $11 ($22 for buses/rv's) -- with no in and out.

Being an accountant, I understand the importance of increasing revenue. I also understand that Bob Iger made $51 million total compensation in 2008. That amount was almost double his 2007 amount of $27 million. I hope the additional parking fees will help Bob make ends meet.

When we told my Dad today he was furious... and we all have an AP and get free parking. I still remember him complaining about $2 a day to park at WDW. Those were the good old days!
