Parking Questions for DVC Rental

A couple of questions about parking using DVC Rentals and Parking:

1) How do you get the parking? Is there a pass that needs to be picked up from the front desk? Assume with the contactless check-in process there must be something I am missing here.
2) For free parking at the theme parks, does this apply on your date of check-in? E.g. If I am checking in on Monday Feb 14 (check-in is at 4pm) can I use the free parking benefit at the parks earlier on Feb 14 to avoid the parking charge at the park?

No parking pass on the dashboard these days. You have to show ID when you first arrive at the resort gate and I keep a printed copy of our reservation just in case. You use your magicband to open the gate thereafter.

Free parking at theme parks is only for the days (nights) you are staying at DVC. If you check in on MDE in advance, that will show you are arriving that day so you should be fine. I still like paper in case IT goes down or something glitchy happens.

They no longer do dashboard passes. Your free parking on a DVC reservation should be automatic. Just check your folio now and then to make sure it's not be added incorrectly. If it would be there, you can get it fixed immediately.

Resort 'perks', like free parking at the them parks, is good all day of your check-in through all day of your check-out day. When you're going through the parking booth, you let them know you're a resort guest. They'll likely scan your Magic Band to verify. If you don't have a MB, you'll need a room card or your phone to verify.

Have your ID handy, too.

When we were there in Nov., DH was asked to scan his MB and provide ID to check in.

Showing ID was necessary at some other resorts where we had ADRs after telling the guard our ADR time.
