If you are a DVC member but are staying at Aulani as a cash guest (rather than on points), do you still get free parking?

I rented points from an owner, can I still get free parking?

Renting points you do get free parking. I am shocked that if you're an owner but on a cash stay you'd have to pay - at the Marriott if we're owners but on a cash stay we still don't pay (we tacked on 2 nights to our 28 nights coming up but we won't pay).

Yes. Free parking is a perk for anyone staying on a points reservation - whether you're a DVC owner, you're renting points, or even if someone gifted you points. I do wonder if this is because the system isn't sophisticated enough to differentiate between DVC owners and non-owners so they default to points reservations vs cash reservations. I rented points and was told that when I inserted my key card into the machine to exit the parking garage, it would recognize I'm staying on points and therefore not charge me. Similarly, my key card and wristbands all week said "DVC" when I am not a member, only staying on rented points. However, we still would have needed a DVC membership card to take advantage of any discounts like at the spa or cabanas, etc.
