We are staying at a Disney resort (POR). Does anyone know whether we can park for free at another Disney resort? We have an ADR at The Wave at the Contemporary, and I was hoping we could just park there and then take the monorail into MK to watch the MSEP and fireworks.

You can park at the CR for a 3 hour period for your ADR or pay the $20 valet fee to leave your car there for your ADR + MK.

Anyone, on or off, site can park at any resort for free. What they don't want you to do is park at a resort for park access.

Some have reported getting a 3 hour parking pass for their meal, some have reported that they have parked at resorts for years and never have been given one of these passes.

Although riding the monorail to MK is an iconic experience, from the Contemporary it is much faster just to walk over.

Other option would be to park in MK lot and take monorail to Contemporary. Since you are staying on property the parking is free. I have been to Contemporary and dined. Sometimes parking is no issue, other times it can be difficult with the guards. Takes a bit longer to park at MK lots but avoids hassle and avoids you breaking the rules (if that is important to you, no sarcasm meant).

Others may say you can park at Contemporary no problem for as long as you want. Just because you can doesn't mean you should.

Wait... there's an MK lot? I haven't been in years, but I thought for MK you had to park at the TTC and take a monorail or boat to the park?

By this, do you mean park at the TTC and take the monorail to Contemporary, and then the monorail (or walk) back to MK?

Thanks.

You can walk to the MK from the Contemporary quickly. Taking the monorail from the Contemporary to the MK would need to make a few stops and take much longer.

Parking at the resorts is not meant for theme park access.
