Just wondering if there is any way around the parking fee at any of the onsite resorts. Just seems crazy to me that you have to pay for parking when paying so much for each night. We are staying 6 nights..it will add up. I thought I read somewhere you might be able to work something out to waive that fee...true/untrue?

It isnt unusual to have parking fees at hotels/resorts. Loews fee is actually more mild than many we have stayed at. You can always ask to have it waived but that is usually reserved for extended stays (weeks). Ask at check-in. :)

I'm going on Friday for a week and staying 7 nights. I will let you know what they say about the parking fee. I am going to ask nicely to have it removed but I am getting such an amazing deal on a suite ($220/night at the Portofino) that I don't know if they will do it.

You need to put the rooms prices in perspective. I don't think I could get a suite at the Grand Floridian (the comparable hotel to Portofino) for anywhere near $220 a night, so the parking charge really doesn't even matter.

You also have to remember what you are getting free by staying at the hotels. The value of unlimited express line access is worth so, so much more to me than the cost of parking.

Thanks. Let me know what you find out. We are staying at RPR the first part of June @ $270 (or something like that) AAA price. Are there any better deals. We are staying Club Level as will have 2 13 year old boys with us. Figured they would really use the snacks/food available. Hope I am right. Looking forward to our trip and being able to come and go from IOA/UO any time we wish. RPR looks wonderful also. We hope to do Discovery Cove/Kenedy Space Center/ possibly Sea World during our stay also.

$270 for club is about right. For what you get though, it is really overpriced. You could buy a ton of snacks and soft drinks for the amount extra you are paying. It is fun having, though.

Take advantage of the free shuttle to SeaWorld from the hotels. It will save you on parking at the park.

Really. It is not worth the price? Do you know what a standard room cost is with AAA? The offer sounded good, especially having the boys with us. What is your opinion?
We have only been to Orlando one other time and did Disney that whole time. Spent one day at IOA but never stayed onsite before. Son loved it there so much he wanted to go back and spend the entire time there. With the cost being so high (flight, room, tickets, etc) I could use any "cost saving" ideas you may have.

Don't know about June, but I booked a standard room at RPR for July with a AAA rate of about $190. If the only reason you are doing club level is for the snacks, I would go with a standard room and buy the meal deal in the parks for the boys (I think this is basically like unlimited food for the day at certain counter service places, not sure though, you can get more info on this easily enough I am sure).

I totally agree with Indy's Girl. If you are paying an extra $60 a night for snacks, that is way too much. The meal deal is less than $20/person and it is real food! I would check that out instead.

You have gotten the $85 tickets right? That is an amazing deal and saves you a fortune over going to Disney.
