We will be driving down to the Fort in August and camping in a tent. We've been to the Fort many times before, but this is our first time camping and we will have a car with us (instead of a motorhome). I know that we will be issued a parking pass and that we will be able to park at our campsite.

Does this entitle us to free parking at the parks? I seem to remember us doing this in the past when we stayed at a hotel, but does it still apply?

If so, I'm thinking that it will be faster to drive to the parks (with the exception of MK, where we could just hop the boat). Any thoughts on that?

Yes, you will be issued a parking pass that you will keep in your car. It will allow free parking at the parks. We always drive to the other 3 parks also. It is so much quicker than taking 2 buses to get to them.

Same for us.

BTW, if you are a member of AAA some chapters will give you a Diamond Parking Pass for free (some chapters charge for it - mine doesn't) so you can park up close to the gates.

We used the free parking the last time we were there for the first time and it is the only way to fly!
