You use your MB to access the gate at the guard shack.
There's no other way for security to be able to visually see what cars are "legally" in the lot and which are not and I don't see how they could eliminate them unless they don't care who is parking there.
In Sept, they did not issue the paper pass, just photo ID and magic band to get access.
No problem. Even at the resorts that charge for parking such as the Grand Californian and Aulani you can have 2 vehicles for the length of stay with points stays.
Without the paper passes they use license plate scanners to track what cars belong to resort guests.
