We are picking some friends up at MCO next week and was just wondering if anybody knew offhand what the best option for parking is?

I have checked the website and there are several options but, specifically, has anybody used the cell phone lot or the terminal garage/terminal top parking. sadly, we aren't able to use the Express parking as you can only use that if you have a Sunpass/EPass.

So, has anybody got any advice on the best place to park?

What about Hyatt hotel parking which is connected to the airport. Do they do short parking?

I parked in the big multi story car park attached to the terninal - same place where your hire car comes from. Cant remember the cost but I think it was about $3 for 1/2 an hour you pay the man on exit. Was really easy to find.

The Cell phone lott is on boggy creek drive and is a couple of miles from the terminal. Don't think there is a shuttle to the terminal. its designed as a place to wait until you get a call that your friends are waiting to be picked up.

We've also picked family/friends up from the airport and used the multi storey. Dead easy and way cheaper than it would be to do something similar at home (free for the first 10 minutes then $4 for up to 3 hours; $10 for any 24 hour period). We too decided against the cell phone parking as it was a distance away and needed cell phone connectivity to make/ receive a message/call from the people we were picking up.

Picked my husband up on Sunday. My dad dropped us at departures, drove around for a bit and then picked us up in the same place a short while later. Didn't make it to cell phone place as we were back out in no time! Could one stay in the car and one go in to meet friends?

We used the multi storey twice last week. It took a bit of finding the first time as you need to go round twice to get into the center ring road. Make sure you follow the signs to parking NOT to arrivals as that is just for kerb pickup. It was really cheap we paid $2 each time for about 30 mins. As PP have said you pay at the exit barrier not at a machine like we do at home.

Thanks all, sounds like the multi-storey is a good idea then :thumbsup2

Claire, I would worry that hubby might get lost and not find his way back to where we were if he drove round by himself :rotfl:
