Parking on Property

We have never stayed on property so the logistics of this are new to me. We will be staying on property but will have a car because we have friends who live in Orlando that we will want to visit. If we drive to the parks do we have to pay to park?

If you stay on site, you do not have to pay for parking. I haven't driven to the parks in a few years, so I believe you show them your magicband so they can scan and verify you are an on site guest.

No, you do not have to pay for parking at the parks if you are an onsite guest. Personally, when I stay on property, my car stays parked the entire time (we drive from Georgia). We just prefer to use Disney's transportation, especially to Magic Kingdom since the bus will drop us off near the entrance so we don't have to use the monorail or ferry boat.

I'll throw out the opposite view - I prefer to drive myself everywhere, including MK. I've never found it takes longer, I have control over my timing, and I always have a guaranteed seat/cup holder/control of the temperature at the end of the night/nobody is rubbing up against me.

Driving is really easy - the signage is easy to follow.
