I am probably going to rent an offsite ecv. I have asked this question before, but really didnt get the answer I needed. I really need it for long distance and endurance walking. (fused ankle and hip replacement) I can manage shorter walks. Can you leave your ecv in the park at a loacation for say a couple of hours? I have heard that you can charge your offsite ecv at the park designated areas. For example could I leave it at a charge area and then go to CP enjoy a dinner then pick it up after we eat. Instead of taking bus time loading and unloading, leaving it at a park that we are returning to, after a resort midday break.
thanks

If it were me, I wouldn't. It is very easy to release the brake by pulling the knob and pushing the ECV anywhere you want to. The keys are not high tech either and so it would be possible to steal one. At least where you leave them for rides there are strollers and CM's around.

Again, I would not want to take the chance. :confused3

The off-site rentals have more than enough battery power to last two days of normal use and I would not worry about recharging in the parks.

If you will be taking a midday break, it is probably easier to us the Disney transportation with the ECV to get between the park and the resort than to try to park it somewhere and then walk all the way to the transportation (and back on your return). There is not that much bother loading and unloading on the Disney transportation. Also taking it with you allows for any changes in plans.
