We are here at Disney right now and we are using our own vehicle but we have two people with us using scooters. We don't have a handicap placard but I'm wondering if there is designated parking closer to the park entrances. Can anyone tell me? We we would like to go to Hollywood Studios later in the day but we're afraid we will have to park far out and drive the scooters all the way to the front.

They can be dropped off closer then park the car and meet at the entrance

That will work just fine. Thank you for that tip! Do we just tell a parking lot attendant that we would like to do that when we get there?

Yes, just tell the parking lot attendant that you have 2 scooters and do not have a handicapped parking permit. Tell the attendants that you want to drop them off. There are also some parking spots in the handicapped parking (Disney calls it “Medical Parking”) that you can park in without a handicapped parking permit. The ones you need a permit for are marked with signs, wheelchair symbol or blue paint. Parking in those spots without a permit can get you a ticket, but there are some other spots not marked that way where you can park without a permit.
The handicapped lots sometimes do fill up, in which case, you would need to drop the ECV users off and then park.

There is more information about parking in post 8 of the disABILITIES FAQs thread. It is near the top of this board or you can follow the link in my signature.
