Hi, I'll have my handicapped car pass and am wondering if all parks have complimentary wheelchairs to use from the parking lot to the entrance where I can rent. Thanks for your help!

The four parks in FL generally do. It depends on how fast a cast member can get them back to the handicapped parking lot from the entrance. I have seen the corral empty at mid morning. If you see a stray in the lot when you pull in, remember the location. Somebody in your party may need to bring it to you.

All of the handicapped parking lots do have wheelchair 'corrals', but the lots are fairly large and if you are on the ends of it, you may have a way to walk to get to where they are.
There is also not a guarantee that there would be any wheelchairs when you get there.

Some alternative you might want to think about
- renting a wheelchair from one of the offsite places

- parking in the regular parking lot and using the parking lot trams - your farthest walk would be to the end of the row, where you would get the tram and be dropped off right in front of the park.

We see the carrels empty more often than not, and there is no where to sit nearby and wait for a chair either. Best to have your own chair rented from offsite. A smaller transport chair
(no big wheels, but no way to self propel either) would be lighter to get in and out of the car trunk.

very seldom do we see any chairs in the corrals and it can be quite a hike from handicapped parking and no trams there esp at MK

I agree about the corrals being empty more often than not. But there was a bench very close to the corral I saw at MK parking lot. The problem is it is still a HIKE to the next point where you "might" be able to retrieve one from a CM. And then they have to walk it back to you if you waited on the bench. You are talking about wasting a lot of time IMO.

Hi there,
Just wanted to let everyone know how this worked out last week. We visited MK, Epcot and Studios and were there at least 30 minutes before opening. Had no trouble using my handicapped tag and was very happy to see quite a few complimentary wheelchairs to get to the gate and then to ECV rental. I also had no problems getting a complimentary chair when leaving the parks and we were there just about till closing each night. I did as a backup rent a wheelchair for 3 days and had it in the trunk, JUST IN CASE! So I think as long as you get to the parks early, you should feel confident about those complimentary chairs. This goes for Seaworld too; no problems there either.
Thanks again for all of your kind advice!
