Parking in Downtown Disney?

Maybe a stupid question. We are going to HooptiDoo review. Are we able to park in Downtown and take a boat? I've never stayed off the property before so not sure how and where to go.
help please

The show at Fort Wilderness Hoopty Doo? You can take the boat from MK but not from Downtown Disney. It doesn't go there.

Drive to Fort Wilderness they will let you park.

You can drive directly to Fort Wilderness and park. You will have to catch a FW internal bus back to Pioneer Hall so allow some extra time for that and check in/picture.

Are you staying near Downtown Disney? If so, you might want to consider sliding in the back way past SSR -> OKW -> POFQ -> POR. Might be easier to get back that way also., That's how I'd go. Otherwise, you can go through main MK entrance. Either way, be alert for deer. They hang our and cross the road around there.

From DTD you would take a resort bus to Fort Wilderness and then the same internal bus as if you drove directly to FW and parked there.

There is no advantage to parking at DTD for HDDR, in fact with all the contruction its a disadvantage because its hard to get around the DTD area.

No stupid questions and no stupid answers but I want to make sure you know how to drive directly to Ft Wilderness in case you haven't done it GPS on property can be horrible at best if you would be relying on that

Go to MK and before approaching toll plaza go to the farthest right lane that you are allowed to use...ideally the one right near the bus lane will be open When you go through the toll plaza you will then make the immediate right As another poster said be careful for the deer they love to graze right at the very edge of the road Park at FT Wilderness which will be on your left and take the internal bus as already stated Have a terrific time

Personally, I prefer to drive to Wilderness Lodge, tell the gate guard you want to check out the resort. Walk through the lovely lobby and out the back to the boat deck. There is a direct boat to Fort Wilderness which puts you a very short stroll to the Hoop De Doo performance hall. After the show just catch the boat back to Fort Wilderness. I love the Disney boats - much more charming than the busses. Disney has excellent signage - just follow the signs to Wilderness Lodge. After the show and you return to your car you will have a bit of a drive as you will need to go past the Magic Kingdom parking lots, Polynesian, etc before you can turn left and start the drive off of Disney property. You will merge with all the folks leaving the Magic Kingdom.
