This probably isn't necessary for Mon,Tue,Wed the week of Halloween, but does anyone recommend making a fast pass run to both parks.

For example, the main group could go into Disneyland, one person from the group could get Space Mtn FPs, while the other could enter DCA and get FPs for Tower of Terror or something then go joing the rest of the group in Disneyland.

Or, upon leaving one of the parks for an afternoon break, have one person stay behind to pop into the other park and grab some FP's then catch up with the group at the hotel.

I may have thought about doing this before but never did and not sure why. I think it might be because the opening times in the morning were never the same between the two parks, so it only worked if the park we were not going to had opened before the one we were going to.

Or will the machine not issue FP's unless all the park hoppers have been scanned at the gate?

Based on WDW, I'd say that option 1 would not work, as a ticket must be scanned at the particular park gate to work in the FP machine. I know this because we had to exit the park and scan our tickets after a backstage tour that did not require park admission.

Option 2 should work, because you don't need to scan the ticket to exit the park. As far as the ticket scanners are concerned, they wouldn't know whether the ticket holder is still in the park or not. This would only work in the original park you all entered earlier in the day.

Actually at DLR both of those methods would work. The tickets only need to be scanned at one park to be FP eligible for either park.

Thanks for the correction!

I know that some rides don't do FPs on Mon, Tues or Wed, including TOT, BTMRR, GRR, and Autopia.

Instead of TOT, I'd recommend getting fastpasses for Soarin'.

Here’s my 2 cents... :goodvibes

Park Hopping (to get FPs before an afternoon break) sounds like a great idea! :thumbsup2

However, it's usually not practical to get DL and DCA FPs at the same time, because the Park Hopper tickets can’t be in two places at the same time. ;)

This scenario could work:

- Everyone enters DL, and one person gets FPs for Space Mtn and (the stand alone) Roger Rabbit.

- Then one person takes everyone’s Park Hopper tickets to DCA and gets FPs for Tower of Terror (or Soarin') and (the stand alone) GRR.

(Walking to DCA for FPs may not be worth the hassle for many guests, but it can be done. :wizard: )

HTH :earsboy:

We were told by a CM that you had to have your ticket scanned as entering the park to get a FP. And that they have different handstamps for each park. So if one person scans all the tix, you cannot get back in (say if the party is in DL and someone scans everyone as entering DCA).

What the CM told you is not really correct. You need to have your ticket scanned at at least ONE of the parks for it to be able to get a FP for either park. And also the parks have the same handstamp for the day.

Yep and yep. The kid has it right.
