There will be a person directing parking. Stop and tell him/her that you have a
scooter but no handicap permit. He/she will direct you to the handicap parking lot (you follow the painted blue line on the roadway). You cannot park in the marked handicap spots (you could get a hefty fine) but you can park adjacent to the handicap spots. There should be plenty of spots there. The handicap parking area is closest to the parks and you can scoot there with your companions walking alongside.
The exception is the Magic Kingdom handicap parking. The MK parking lot is across the lake from the MK park. The parking lot there leads to the TTC (Transportation and Ticket Center), where you have the choice of taking the ferry boat across the lake or the monorail to the Magic Kingdom gate. Both the ferry and the monorail are handicap accessible, but the monorail has a steep ramp leading up to the platform (not a problem for a medium or heavy duty scooter, but tough for a small travel scooter), then a CM has to put up a small portable ramp for the scooter to enter and exit the monorail car, as it is a few inches above the platform. The ramp to the monorail platform at MK is also steep. The ramp to the monorail at Epcot can be averted by using the elevator there.
