Parking? - GCH for breakfast

I will be driving down to DLR for breakfast with family members that are staying at HoJo. We have a breakfast reservation at Storytellers Cafe, in the GCH, and I won't be going to the theme parks afterward.

What is my best option for parking? I don't mind paying the fee (well, I do, but I've accepted that part of the plan) so I am looking for the best location and then economics. "Mickey and Friends" garage? Is there a separate lot for Downtown Disney - would that work for me? Is there hotel parking?

If I park at Downtown Disney, can I get parking validation from the restaurant if we run over the free 3 hours?

[This seemed like a simple plan when we made it, but I have a tendency to over-think things.]

Thanks for your help -

Yes, Downtown Disney has it's own parking lot for shorter term parking. I've used it when going to the movie theatre and it's great. Parking is free for 3 hours, and up to 5 with validation.

Watch for the signs for Downtown Disney to find the lot ... it's on the end of Downtown near the Disneyland Hotel.

Will the restaurant in the hotel validate? or just the restaurants within "Downtown Disney?"

We have done this a couple times on our way down to San Diego. You can park at the hotel in valet and when you come back just show them your receipt. There is no charge for the valet. When you pull in tell the person at the booth that you are there for breakfast and they will put a tag on your window that says "storytellers." You can park there for hours and they will not say anything. One time we ate breakfast and then went to the park for about an 1 1/2 hours and still valet was free. Have a nice time.
