Hello all,

Hoping for some advice/direction regarding parking at the Yacht Club resort for dinner. I have no problem getting there, just unsure if there is usually parking available and what procedures are. Any info./advice would be appreciated...

Thanks,

Ken

You should not have a problem parking at the Yacht Club if you have an ADR.

When you arrive you'll be stopped at the guardhouse and asked for photo ID. (this is sometimes inconsistent - sometimes they ask for my resort key card) They'll ask why you're there and occasionally they have a list of ADR holders, but that's rare in my experience and usually only happens at the Contemporary. They'll direct you to self-parking or you can choose to drive up to the resort entrance and valet park. If you valet, you'll be given a valet receipt and you'll need to pay the valet fee when you pick up your car later. I think they still only take cash, not room charge, so be prepared. Valet is $12 per day. (It's free if you have a valid handicapped parking tag or if you are a Tables in Wonderland cardholder and you are dining at the resort using that discount.)

You shouldn't have a problem finding parking.

You do really need a dining reservation though!! Especially during the holidays and F&W festival.

On Halloween day, a bunch of friends were planning on meeting us at Beaches & Cream for a Kitchen Sink.

My spouse and I took the bus and walkway and made it just fine. Our friends (4 different couples), tried to drive over and were NOT allowed to enter the resort by vehicle. (They were all Disney resort guests). The were only letting Beach Club guests and those with ADRs into the parking lot.

Remember if you pay for Valet Parking, you can Valet Park at any other Disney Resort the same day with no additional charge (excluding tip). We always get valet parking and were just charged directly to our room for the charge. That said, we had three duplicate charges from resorts that we visited and also received Valet parking.

If you're staying on property they shouldn't have any issues room charging the valet parking if you're paying a one time charge.

You know, I misspoke. The only time I had an issue is when I was staying offsite one night and went to eat at a Disney resort. They do charge to room and take cash, but they don't take credit cards. I had to go in to the ATM for cash.
