I was just about to book our stay at Fairfield Inn and saw that there is a $5 a day charge for parking. My friend stayed there last year and said the parking was free. Is this something that they just started charging? I called to inquire about it and the woman on the phone said there is a charge for on-site parking but off-site parking is free. So, I guess my question is where is off-site parking and will my car be safe there? :confused3.

Please any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you:)

On site and off site parking?! Never heard of it. We stayed at Fairfield Inn in July and were not charged for parking. Sounds new.

I just called them to find out.

Was told that the off-site parking was at the Anaheim Marriott, about 1.2 miles to the south on Convention Way. There's a shuttle that runs people to and from their car, though you have to arrange for the shuttle. It doesn't run on a regular circuit.

What a gigantic pain. Oops I forgot my pillow. Now what jump on a shuttle at 11 at night??

I just noticed that last night. They JUST changed this policy. I booked a room for my family end of July for the 18th-21st of December and it says complimentary on site parking on my reservation. I decided to surprise my parents and invite them to come along so I booked another room yesterday and it says parking is $5 dollars a night. My reservation does not mention a per room car limit but the later reservation does so I just plan on telling them we have two cars on my room so we can get out of the fee. Regardless 15 is not too bad. We are also going to the Omni in SD and they want 30 a day for parking there!

You are only allowed one car per room. Sorry!

•Due to limited parking availability, only one car per registered room. Vehicles cannot exceed 8 feet by 19 feet.

I need to clarify, that policy was in effect before July of this year because it was in effect when we stayed there this past May.

HTH!

Thanks I didn't see that. I found that on my reservation email. The interesting thing is now it specifies it in two locations on my new ressie. I was thinking because mine didn't have it in the same place I could have more than one car on mine.

I know, it's wierd. I have my old reservations saved and saw this when I went back.

Forgive me as I have never been to DL, but is that hotel within walking distance to DL?

Yes! And I highly recommend it! It's about a 5-7 minute walk to the DL park entrance depending on pace. It takes us about 5 minutes. Here's a link to my review with photos. In fact there are many other reviews for area hotels/motels in this same thread, so you may want to look through it.
