Well, it has finally happened. DW and I are planning our first cruise ever and it will be on DCL. pirate:

We are doing a Sea/Land package with the 3 night cruise. My question is this:

We live close enough that we will choose driving over flying. What is the parking situation at the port, and what is the pricing? Can we choose to leave our car on property at WDW in an extended parking lot?

Thanks in advance for your help.

From what I have read and heard there is plenty of parking at the DCL terminal. At least I hope so since we are driving down from North Florida that morning :D .

The cost (I think) is $10 a night (i.e. $30 for 3 night cruise, $40 for 4 night cruise etc). Also from what I have read it is cash only.

I can confirm from my Passporters when I get home it someone has not already done so.

Hope this helps !!

From all I have read (and that is a lot):

Parking should be $10 per day for a normal-sized vehicle. It may be more (I have heard $12 and $15 but most report back that $10 is what it is). I have heard that Cash or Credit Cards are acceptable. Parking is controled by the port - not DCL.

The lots can be pretty empty early on but fill up as the guests start to arrive. I have never heard of the lots filling completely, but if you want to park closer, get there early.

There are lots of friendly ants in the parking lot. Clean your car well and don't leave any open food when you cruise, or they will invade your car. Nothing like driving home with ants all in your car. I'm bringing a small bottle of Ortho Perimiter Defence for the tires of our car when we park in the lot and am going to clean before we leave. Hopefully that will do the trick.
