Parking for Chef Mickey ADR

If I have a 6:20 pm ADR at Chef Mickey's, can I park in the Contemporary Resort parking lot at 3:30 after our afternoon break (and spend a short time at MK before dinner)? I heard somewhere that CM's check to see whether I am a resort guest or have an ADR for a restaurant before allowing me to park at the Contemporary Resort. Thanks for your help.

That is correct. Because the CR is so close to MK, many guests want to park there and walk over to MK.

When you dine at CM (or really any resort) the security guard will ask why you are there and will issue a 3 hr parking pass. Don't know how closely that time is watched. But I bet if you got out of your car and started walking to MK, the guard would notice.

People have reported seeing vehicles towed in the past. Hope that helps,

I wouldn't even chance it that early. Parking is really limited there and they pay attention to those 3 hour passes. I'd park at the TTC and take the monorail in.

I think you should not take a chance and park at the Contemporary when it's closer to your ADR time at Chef Mickey's. Parking at the Contemporary can be very hard sometimes and it gets worse when people know that and go off to the Magic Kingdom. Plus now that a lot of the spots in the North Garden Wing parking lot are blocked off due to the construction, it's now even harder to self park at the Contemporary. So my advice to the OP is you really want to go to the Magic Kingdom before, park at the TTC so you can enjoy the Magic Kingdom and then go to the Contemporary when it's time to be at Chef Mickey's. Plus since you can park at the TTC until the Magic Kingdom closes, you don't need to worry about getting your car towed if you stayed way past the 3 hour rule and to get there from the Contemporary is the next stop on the Resort Monorail.
