Parking for character meals

Does anyone know how much it costs to park at one of the hotels for a character meal? All I can seem to find is that I can park there and get validated at the CM (up to 5 hrs). I can't imagine Disney letting me park for free...

It's free for 3 hours, to encourage people to go to DTD, and you can get two more hours free with select meals. That's how you get 5 for free. But you start paying a lot after the 5th hour.

Yes, if you park at the hotel, you're validated for 5 hours. If you park at DTD, the hotels will not validate your ticket so you have 3 hours.

I've just become such a skeptic that I figured there had to be money involved...because paying over $100 for breakfast isn't enough kwim

I'm going to stay at the park 6 hours after breakfast; I asked about charges after the 5 hours. It's $6/hour. I figure that if I stay 8 hours total, as I plan, I'll pay $18 for the day (there's a $30 maximum). It's worth the extra $3 to me to not move the car to the garage! I'm in good shape; I'll just walk!
