is the lot in front of the resort for guests staying there? Is it valet only, or can you self park there? Or is all self parking being directed to the lot across the street, regardless of whether you are staying there or not? Thanks:)

The lot that is in front of the inn and bus stop is self-park. The lot in front on the villas, near the tennis courts, is valet. You can pull up to the car port and pick-up/drop-off as needed, even if you are not using valet.

The lot on the right side of the street is auxiliary parking. Sounds like they push the general public over there during busy times. I might also say that is CM parking. I've not read of a hotel guest having to park out there, but then, maybe that is just someone who is not on the DIS.

We were just there this past week and it looked like the valet parking was only in the first few sections of that lot right in front of the villas. There were a lot of cars parked in the last section - the farthest from the main entrance and closest to the end of the villas, but the other sections were mostly empty. That section was not blocked off either.

I always get a rental car and have never had to park across the street. It can get dicey on weekends, last December we got there on a Saturday afternoon and had to go round and round to find a space in the main lot.

or time. We will be arriving on a Friday night about 9PM:eek: I won't even mention this conversation to my DH, just roll with the punches!

Aug. 20th - I know, right smack during free dining. The parking will probably be awful.

You can always have someone drop off (even when not arriving with luggage) and pick up.

In January, we always were in the main lot, but DH picked us up at the door a few times. We didn't get dropped off much upon return....don't know why.

If it really bothers you, park in the aux lot and around 10/11, move it again. By then the restaurants are about closed, Epcot is empty (unless EMH), so the cars for Jellyrolls and ESPN Zone will not be filling the lot.

Just a thought.

I wouldn't stress.

LoveKermit is right about arriving after Illuminations is over. As soon as it's finished the BWV parking lot miraculously empties out and you'll have space.

although I'll probably be the one dropping DH off so he can high tail it to the ESPN club to catch the Eagles playing a pre-season game, which he informed me of this afternoon.:worship:

You'll probably be OK. Free dining isn't as big at the deluxe hotels. The most trouble I've had in the lot is mid to late afternoon. Worse comes to worse, valet park.

If you are staying at BWV and valet park but don't take the car out until you check out are you charged $12 for each day or only $12 because the car did not get moved at all during stay ?

I'm guessing it's charged per day but I'm not sure.
:)

You'll be charged for each day the car is there.

Must be a lot of late check-outs. :lmao:
