I think I have finally decided on Chef Mickey's for Harley's 3rd Birthday Breakfast, I have just though that it may be nice to get the monorail over to MK afterwards, but then I thought about parking, can you leave your car there or is it best to drive to the MK? (meaning we can't get the monorail)

Is this allowed or frowned upon? - I'm not trying to avoid parking charges either - I just think it would be nice to take the kids on the train after their special meal.

Thanks guys :goodvibes

I think you can only leave your car at a resort for up to 3 hrs, when you go to park at the contemporary you have to tell security on the gate where you are going and also have to show them your i.d. so you may be better parking at mk. you can the use the monorail after your meal to go back to mk or do what we did-jumped on it and had a look around the grand floridian!

you get 3 hours for an adr, they give you a slip of paper, cant remember what is says as we had one alst year for GF. you put it on the dash when you park

As others have said, unless you are staying at the Contemporary, you shouldn't leave your car there while visiting the parks. Could you not take the kids on the resort monorail afterwards, which will go around in a loop and go back to the Contemporary where you can collect your car?

Thanks for the advice! I think we will get fed, then go round the loop, and drive on to MK. Sounds like a good plan to me! :)

If you're going to MK anyway, you will be taking the monorail to MK from the TTC, and also going through CR. By doing as you suggested, you're actually going to be taking 2 monorail rides. :confused3

No we won't because we have pushchairs so we always take the boat. You have to get everything out and fold them up for the monorail. If we travel round the loop while we are at the contemporary then we will have left the pushchairs in the car. :goodvibes

Ah ha. We love the boat too (especially at park closing -- much less wait than the monorail). So, definitely do the loop after breakfast. :goodvibes

If the monorail isn't busy you are able to take the pushchairs on without folding them up

Another option is to valet park at the Contemporary which means you can leave your car there all day and apparently the tip (actual parking cost is free) most people give is the same as what parking at one of the parks would be.

Valet parking isn't free, it's at least $10. :confused3 AllEars

I think I got the wrong end of the stick! :upsidedow The $10 + tip I guess works out a bit more than parking at the parks, depending on how much you tip but not much for a one off :)

Not much in it at all and definitely easier than having to move the car from the Contemporary to the TTC and then come all the way back again on the monorail/boat.
