I asked DCL when I called about a deposit for an upcoming cruise, and the basic answer, and he wasnt sure was this. If you booked a land sea package thru Disney, which is the reorts not the DVC like the towers,(this is what Jeff just told me) then you wouldnt have to pay since your kttw card from the ship has the length of stay printed on the card. SInce you are staying at the towers, then initially you have to pay, though he said if you keep your receipt, and take it to the Towers when you check in,theyll refund the parking money.

Just a thought but if you play dumb and flash your kttw card, if theres enough people behind you inline, they may not check. Though if they did, youd still have to pay $12 if its not printed on your card.

If it is a DCL land/sea the land would come first. If you book the land portion separately then you aren't a resort guest until you check in. Personally I would check in to save the $12. Saves you from having to chase around getting someone to reimburse you for parking.

Just have your resort confirmation with you when you pass through the parking booths. They seem to be very forgiving. We went a couple weeks ago and had APs at will call, hadn't picked them up yet, no exchange vouchers in hand. We pulled up to the booth and told them we were picking up APs and we were waived through. When we got out APs they asked us if we paid for parking and we said no. If we had we would have gotten a refund.

If you do end up paying for parking, just keep your receipt and then show it when you check in at the resort. You shouldn't have any problem getting the $12 back. If it were me it would be worth the $12 not to have to bother going out of the way to check in.

Either way it (staying on land before or after a cruise)wouldnt matter as the op is staying at a DVC Resort. They dont count for a Land Sea whether its before or after a cruise.Accodrding to DCL its the same as booking on your own.

After they leave EPCOT, they still have to go check in at the front desk.
